I really can't bear to wade through most of the drivel that follows below, but in case no one has said it yet, that is a very well-worded letter.
I'd just like to say that I'm in the camp that thinks Destiny is a wonderful game, filled with potential and containing some highly addictive gameplay. Yes, there are things I could criticize, but none of them are gamebreaking. Besides, Bungie has left all indications that they are going to set new standards in post-release support, and I am enthusiastic about seeing where they go with with it.
Honestly, most of the people who drone on endlessly with nothing but negativity pouring from their sewers are not the people who will make up your fan base. They're like locusts who move on every thirty days to the newest flavor of the month. You won't hear from most of them again. But those who remain will do so because they trust in the concepts you've put forth, and in your ability to shape them and let them evolve over time. That, to me, is refreshing.

All you can do is keep playing and supporting what Bungie is doing. To a lot of people, all these concepts are new, and humans are funny creatures that sometimes shun what they don't understand. Sometimes I get confused about how a few of the concepts work, but all I know is I'm having fun and making progress a bit at a time. I really believe that in time a core fanbase and community will really take root here and make this even more rewarding once the white noise of those mob dregs goes silent so they can play the new CoD or whatever.

Agreed, Destiny is a great deal of fun, besides the litter in the Forums. Does the game need more, yep it sure does. Is Bungie building more, OMG they are!!! Who would have thought!!! People saying the release of this game is not on the level of Halo need to understand that Halo was a lot less refined when compared to Destiny. Back then software patches to fix bugs did not happen on consoles, and updates for games were entirely new games not DLC.

Hell there is a guy below who thinks Hardline is going to be a good game. What the hell is anyone supposed to do with that. But poking fun at the silly posts aside the letter is really well written. I think that there is an incredibly large player base that simply don't come here to bitch and moan. I like to think that the people who enjoy the game and can look past the small amount of issues make up a far larger fraction of the player base than the people who complain. That's my largest worry to be honest, that the shortsighted and ignorance of a player base will take a good game into the grave because they simply can't see the good in it.
