I thoroughly enjoy this game, but to go on and say that there is no room for improvement or that there is absolutely nothing wrong with the game is freaking childish. "Just enjoy your video games or don't play" is the message I get from everyone posting in this thread and that is the worst thing to do to someone. Yes there are people who are making ridiculous requests that would take away from the game, but there are many, many more players who just want to see the game be exactly what it's aiming to be, because it's not there yet by any means. That's why there's a feedback forum, so players can make suggestions on how to improve the overall experience. There are literally thousands of players who can't even connect to the game to play it in the first place and Bungie has no form of customer support (they don't listen to us) aside from "Ask these players who are experiencing the same problem". That's not okay and it's definitely not what I would call a smooth launch. Get your head out of their ass.

  • A lot of times the "then don't play and go away" sentiment comes in response to people acting like Bungie has commited some kind of crime against humanity or that people who are enjoying it must somehow be feeble minded. Feedback is always a good thing. But entitled whining and insults aren't feedback. Those same people also add a lot of static and noise that makes it harder to notice the real feedback like the connectivity issues that are plaguing so many players. Bungie is working on it. Hot fixes have already come out. They aren't ignoring it. There should be some kind of tech based feedback system in place that isolates WHERE the problem is yes. The launch was surprisingly smooth compared to Diablo III or the last Sim City. Virtually NOBODY could connect to those games because they didnt bother to build the server infrastructure to support the demand. As to your sentiment to the OP to get his head of of "their" ass... Stop taking your own frustrations out on others. He has a right to try and add some positive feedback to these forums. Feedback is supposed to include GOOD things too from time to time. Throwing around personal attacks just makes people more likely to dismiss you as some disrespectful jerk instead of listening to something of value you might have to say.

  • I wasn't taking my frustrations out on him at all. Like I said, I enjoy the game, its far from perfect and needs some improvement but I enjoy it. All OP was doing is blowing smoke up their ass and telling them to ignore the people requesting improvements or changes to certain parts of the game that clearly need improvement. Being a kiss-ass is just as helpful as being a flippant hater. It achieves nothing.

Isn't it awesome to be able sit behind a screen and call people names because they don't conform to your ideals? Doesn't it just make you feel more self righteous? What a feeling!

  • http://www.bungie.net/7_WHAT-IS-THE-CAUSE-OF-MY-DESTINY-CONNECTION-PROBLEM/en/Help/Article/12147 that's their form of help that link right there that tells us its all our problem. it states its either our internet, modem, console, or devices that are causing our disconnection. nothing in that link states that they themselves are having problems or that they are trying their hardest to fix them. that right there is why this game needs to be fixed and improved upon, some people haven't been able to play even if they pre ordered it purchased the ghost edition or any other form they purchased it in because they only get to play for a few minutes before they disconnect. those same people have all tried the workarounds mentioned on this site (NAT Type, opening ports, QoS, disabling flood protection, DMZ server, static IP for router and console, hard resetting everything multiple times, deleting system cache, deleting and reinstalling the game, using a VPN, going wireless and wired, and multiple combinations of all of these) and yet there is still no help for them. that to me is not the as the OP stated
Thank you for a smooth launch with such a large project. Thank you for the smooth gameplay and mechanics. Thank you for providing a game that I can connect and have the best time with my friends that I have had in a long time. Thank you for your commitment to listen to what we have to say ( good or bad) and promising to commit to bringing us entertainment
