It seems like glimmer is the easiest thing to rack up & yet its so useless. I would prefer to have a balance between the currencies. For example, maybe there could be a 50% chance of getting glimmer from monsters and 50% chance for vanguard marks to drop?

If you spam engrams to Lvl up the engram guy you eventually get legendary engrams so use it on that

How far? My engram dude is lvl 5 and still only giving me gray and green crap

I think he's talking about the legendary packages he mails you upon each rank.

Mines only lvl 5 you gotta get to ten and that's where it really makes your life easier

It would be nice if you could buy things for character edit to change the look of your character with glimmer
