I don't get why people hate on hunters using melee. It's one thing to walk up to a boss and smack his legs then die, but you can use it properly. In Crucible the combo of a Blink Strike and shotgun to the face is hard to argue. And on strikes, use the environment, you can still hit enemies that aren't in line of sight with Showstopper if they are still in range, lets you do several thousand points of damage on bosses while safe in cover.

  • Vanish is what I would do in that instance (when I unlock it), drop in, activate, attack, then at the end of the chain, vanish and reposition myself to continue to do add on damage. Neither strategy is bad, it's just I choose to play keep away in terms of boss battles.

  • Just depends on the boss, Phogoth I am staying as far away as I possibly can, bosses like in the Dust Palace it's a little safer to go nuts with Arc Blade. Time and a place for everything, just need to figure out when and where.
