Sunsinger can take the form of a support role or tank role. It can grant it's allies drastic reduced grenade cool downs or it can bring itself back to life and save the group from annihilation

It's saved my fire team more than once. I use the sticky grenade which is helpful for ads who like to dive out of the way, usually they'll dive out of the way and take cover with other ads too, but it's got a nade on it's ass so profit. Being able to self resurrect allows you to play a lot more aggressively and also gives your team the confidence that sudden death doesn't have to mean sudden fail. Being able to stop in mid air and stay there while aiming is superb for getting in and out of cover as well as dodging slow moving ordnance fire (minotuars, wizards, etc) Being able to shield myself after using a melee is awesome for when I'm playing aggressive and need a boost. Or when I'm drawing aggro away from my fireteams (phogoth the untame) and being swarmed by thralls. I haven't played it's support role only it's tank role. I'm a level 27 warlock with sunsinger completely maxed.
