IN GAME CLAN SYSTEM
I've recently made a clan. I've invited most of my friends totaling to about 10 people. Sadly most of them are only followers of the group and not actual clan members. A IN GAME CLAN SYSTEM IS DESPERATELY NEEDED. Adding members from the "ROSTER" TAB as well as the addition of a clan tab on the player menu would really be ideal. I know a lot of work was put into the website and I myself am savy on how to use it. Sadly it's not very user friendly for those who are not or only have access to the Internet through a smart phone etc. A in game clan system would greatly increase the value of this game as well as make owners and dedicated players very thankful. Next patch or in the near future. Let's go bungie. You did it for halo. This game is the next best hit. Don't come up short on the small details that make or break a game.

adding a chat sytem is needed...why have clan setup if you cant communicate with them...we come from defiance and the only thing trion did right was the chat system...it would be perfect for destiny...plus displaying clan tag over characters head...they had it in the beta...

i have 10 group members that are only part of my "group" although they have already joined the clan. please fix this issue, i cannot transfer them to the clan and they have already tried to join but the system is not recognising it at all. so as it stands my clan is only 3 strong on this website! what gives?

Yeah I am really shocked at the terrible clan and lack of chat features. Adding people to my clan is way too complicated. Someone @ Bungie needs to pick up a copy of Rainbow Six: Black Arrow and take notes on their clan integration. How the hell the original XBOX game can pwn a PS4 setup is beyond me. But it has happened.

1 ReplyI would be very nice to be able to access the extra features from the website in game. Say install a data terminal at the tower where players can access their Grimiore and clan management. This would be a feature that I can see them doing in a near future update. Along with proximity chat in the tower.

1 ReplyI second your opinion Bungie needs to add a better clan feature. I have almost 100 people in my PSN section of my clan and I can't manually add them all. There is almost 70% of them that I never get to play with and I want to, but they don't say anything! Make it more user friendly by adding adding a fourth column for Clans in the roster section.

2 RepliesI think it has its pros and cons. I like the idea of it being on the bungie.net site because then not everyone will be making a clan. It makes it a bit more exclusive I guess? I THINK that they should update the Destiny Companion app (Which they really need to fix bugs in) so that you can fully create and manage your clan, as well as a less buggy invitation system. I love the companion app, but it can be so much more.

This is one of the MANY basic features that Destiny lacks. Truly pathetic. How can they expect to have staying power in the video game industry?

2 RepliesEdited by Archangel: 9/18/2014 7:13:27 PMThe solution is simple. Add a clan tag ability to players similar to CoD and Halo. As well as adding a form of custom game/private matches. Many clans use these as a form of clan wars, battles, skirmishes, and such. Destiny will die slowly without this. Clans provide a huge mass of players to whichever game is trending, and if this could be done, Destiny's fanbase/users will receive a sharp increase in population.

3 RepliesMaybe since I'm in a clan already I don't share your sentiments, but do you really want to be getting spam invites all day if you're not in a clan on your character already? People talk up the WoW guild system all the time but I'd much rather be able to handle it on the Blizzard website than constantly get spammed to join guilds that I don't know or care about on my guildless characters

5 RepliesI agree. I hate that people have to join the group, then set it as their clan. I have about 30 people, only 13 of which actually set it as their clan. Then we play and they say "Why doesnt it show the clan name?". It is overly complicated.

This game fails in so many aspects, and this is another one of them. I suppose the object is to make the player feel incredibly lonely. They killed that aspect of the game!!

Bungie clans have always been made and run from bungie.net no need to change it now. You'll get more dedicated gamers from the bungie forums and what not anyway.
