Are the 10 seconds you get before it actually dismantles the item not enough for ya, Quickdraw?

  • 10 seconds more like 1.5. You wont be saying that when you delete and exotic or a legendary that you just got.

  • It's happened before in plenty of other games. I'm going to be mad, but I'm going to be mad at myself.

  • It takes less than 5 seconds to dismantle a weapon.

  • I wasn't being literal, but either way it certainly isn't so fast that things need to be locked. It's not that hard to pay attention to what you are doing, and if you're not looking then don't press any buttons; there is your lock. How many times in the history of gaming have people, myself included, accidentally sold or broke down something by mistake in a game? It sucks but it happens. But most of us don't go, "Oh, what the hell? This is bulls--t! This is clearly the developers fault, and not mine (the person with the controller in his hands), for not making this game jackass proof. Rabble, rabble, rabble, rabble!"

  • I dont see how that is an argument for not making the GUI more user friendly. Yes, it might be the users fault, so why not help them avoid the problem? Fact is we get a ton of crap that needs to be deleted, but at the same time we need to maintain a selection of different weapons in our inventory. E.g. Sniper rifles, shotguns, different energy types etc. And all that is mixed in with the junk that just needs to be thrown out. If I need to regularly delete 5 piece of each type of gear, then sooner or later I will become too much routine work, and I will end up deleting valuable stuff. "It sucks but it happens." Yeah, but it doesn't have to happen.

  • The brain is a wonderful thing because it can discern green from blue almost instantaneously. It can also double check stats before dismantling.

  • Some people are color blind.

  • Well then, I guess it makes sense that I've never accidentally dismantled a blue instead of a green. I have, however, decided that the weapon I was 95% done dismantling would have been useful for another character if I had put it in my vault. Or that it wouldn't have been much more work to upgrade it first to get more weapon parts from it.

  • what if you have 2 blues. that are the same but the stats are different. One has higher impact other has higher fire rate. you want to keep the impact and delete the other one but the icon and names are the same and you get confused for a second and poof. Now imagine that with your legendaries or your exotics.

  • Stats don't matter in my example. I can dismantle something because it is useless to my character, but then remember at the last second that it could be useful for another character. Did I miss anything else?

So basically its stats would be useful to another. You're good.

  • Your sarcasm really hurts your point.

  • Nope, pretty sure it's still valid. The sarcasm is just a little extra on top.
