Does anybody realize that Destiny is far from over....?
Just wondering if there are people out there that realize that what we've played so far.. that 20+ hours you've put into this game so far is only the beginning? That the reason the "story" is lacking is because there really isn't one right now on purpose? That all we've seen so far is a brief introduction into the massive world Bungie is opening us up to (and a damn good introduction at that)? This isn't Assassin's Creed where you play it for 4 days, get through the story and be done with it. I honestly think we've only experienced a tenth of what Bungie has in store for us. Being an intelligent consumer you have to know what you're in for, the $90 I spent on this game is not for a 16 hour story and some silly side quests. It's an investment in a franchise from a company which brought us the likes of HALO. Let's have some sense comrades. I look at a lot, not all, but a lot of these complaints and when you break them down people are, in essence, complaining that they haven't played and seen everything the game has to offer yet. Bungie, over the next days, months, years, will be giving us more to play, see and do. Did you people play WoW or Skyrim for a couple days and then cry? No, because you realized that those games, like this one, are far from over after intro.
I also realize that some folks are never happy. If Bungie had introduced to us from the very beginning, 4389142 gun types, 4378 enemy types, 76 different planets and such, there would be those that after racing through all of it in a week would still be unhappy. These are the people I pray for at night.
I'm saying all this to basically say we need to give Bungie time to reveal to us what they have up their VERY LARGE sleeves. Stop whining about paying for expansions when I bet most of you bought all the Halo DLC when it was nothing but, if my memory serves me right, multiplayer map packs.... nothing to evolve the story like it is in this case... but different maps to shoot each other on... C'mon son...
Let's give an ENORMOUS game like Destiny more than a week to prove itself.. I mean hey, you beat CoD in 10 hours and then shoot each other on the same maps for half a year before complaining.

2 RepliesPeople who complain are just crying babies!!! This is a great game with near infinite possibilities!!! If you are not happy, just stop playing, and exchange your game for credit!!! Let us play and have fun!!!!! I know this is just a beginning, lot of stuff will come in future with this game!!!!

I have all the faith in the world for this game and I'm making myself excited just coming up with things they might do to expand it, but one thing I am really for is that the 'DLC' is more of an expansion pack with a whole lot of content, not just 3 new missions, 2 multiplayer maps and 4 sets of new armour for each class. Going back to the wow thing id expect such a jump as burning crusade was from vanilla, add our 3rd subclass, a new planet or area to explore, raise the level cap, add some things like trading and expand the tower area, another raid, give us something to be excited about that's going to allow us to stay on board and not fade off to other exciting new games, I want destiny to become what it deserves to be and I'm very hopeful.

7 RepliesEdited by Hellekeen: 9/18/2014 12:48:51 PMto be honest: remove 75% of bullet sponging, and implement the complete Vault of Glas into the Single Player playable campaign, and Destiny would have had SO much more credits.. since they introduced FINALLY 2 more "mission modes".. Jump and Run and Stalk,.. they should have been natural parts of the Game and a LOT of people who complained about the utterly boring repetitivness of the game wouldnt.. now, they just need to implement this into the "normal" game, add real explorable areas and usable ships and the thing MIGHT be back on track.. and crafting.... and trading.......

All I can say is have a look at World of Warcraft when it started. Very similar to Destiny now. It was a slightly broken and very complicated game that had flashes of brilliance but Blizzard had a plan. Look at the depth and story line and 4 expansions and countless patches has brought to that game. Some say that WoW is a piece of crap as well, but is has a huge player base and is one of the most successful games of all time. All I hope is that Bungie has a similar game plan and we end up with content that is just as good and expansive.

These people ruin every product whether it be games, phones, or cars. *My favourite thing to do right now is watch all the people crying the game was too easy and watch their threads about how the raid is too hard. Ahahahah you just can't compete with the level of stupid the complainers have to offer.

Let's not forget that for each of those 76 planets, players need to be able to explore every square inch and be able to turn over every single stone they encounter.

5 RepliesDo you actually realize that this is what you get for buying the game and all the DLCs after this will cost extra? So yes, this is it, this is all the actual game has to offer. And people don't really buy COD for the sp campaign, the but it to play the mp mode and if you don't care much about that in Destiny there's really not much else to do besides grinding the same stuff over and over like in any MMO game.

I actually had a friend on my Facebook whom I don't really talk to much any more complain about how there is nothing to do and how the level cap should be raised and that more content should have been in the actual $60 purchase of the game. I asked what level he was.... 24. He wants the level cap raised when he isn't even max level. I asked what legendaries he has... Guess what.. None. So I asked if he's worked up his vanguard or faction rep yet.. Long behold a nope for that as well. I couldn't help but think.. How can you just complain about something you haven't even took part in? How? Are you just that lazy that you just absolutely need to be rewarded everything from the beginning for the game to be good... And then pwn through everything cause you're just op guru????! I can't help but notice that people are hating this game because it isn't the game they are used to. I'm seeing WoW fans.. And other RPG fans loving this game. I'm convinced that those taking the time to rage were simply just looking for multiplayer bs with a 2 hour campaign and all the best gear in a single day. I can gladly say, thank you Bungie for this amazing game that you have created! I like it just the way it is...... Besides the previous public events... Thank you for increasing those times!

1 ReplyDestiny will be worth it in the long run. Yeah its the same grinding and and farming like most other MMO's but its got its own feel to it, and regardless of the fact that you beat the story rather quickly doesn't mean there isn't other stuff to do. Had it been just a story and PVP then there's something to complain about. But the fact that there is other modes to play in and challenges keeps me interested and playing more and more. I haven't finished the story because I've been busy doing other challenges and PVP. Within the first two weeks of Borderlands I had completed everything the game had to offer including legendary weapons. I'm no where near that with this game. Like everyone is saying its been a week, give the game time to mature and dish out all it has to offer before passing judgment.

It seems like BungieVision has taken a page from the Hollywood book of movies and created a game much like a movie that involves sequels like Harry potter. At the end of the first one, did you storm out "its too short" where's the rest of the story?! Relax guardians, the 100+ staff at Bungie know what their doing, so quit moaning, you already gave them your glimmer for the game. You didn't really expect them to give you everything at launch did you? The gaming industry has changed obviously. Meanwhile, still plenty to do. Building rep, marks, armor class, gear, bounties. Just enjoy it! I miss the pre- 9/9 posts!
