I love all these people defending Bungie for restricting your choices, for all we know he does have friends and does raid. The point is, is that Bungie, restricted the option to let you CHOOSE. Now I like choices, I don't like being restricted to only doing A or B, I like having C and D as a viable option as well. Most of us probably know of "Raid Finder" where you can CHOOSE to match yourself up with some randoms, or you can also ask for more in chat or join a guild. I like it either way, I like joining my guild and talking on vent from time to time, but I also enjoy non-communicating sometimes. (again, choices) And so I can do that. I can CHOOSE if I want to go in and hope for the best or wait for guild night and join a solid and stable group. What I would like to see are more choices in Destiny. I agree with strondbokken, although I can almost feel his anger emanating from the post, he does make a point, many. But most of the posters just stand behind Bungie and wont listen to, or actually think on it. You got your game. You're happy. End of story. But for the more choice oriented person, we want to speak up, and we are. I remember when the Destiny beta came out, it was fun, it was grungy with a certain type of beauty, and the music..some of the best yet. Now after all was said and done my only grief, my only one, just one. Was that there was no skip button for the cutscenes. Which meant if I wanted to make an alt I was forced to sit through all the cutscenes again. I don't mind watching them again but when you restrict my CHOICE to, then I get upset. So I found a thread in which someone else had the same issue and left a little comment in it. Did they listen, did they give us a choice to skip? No. The first, opening cinematic, Yes. But all the in-game cutscenes, No. Destiny to me is a watered down version of every other MMO and FPS combined. It was made by Bungie for Bungie. They kept the cards close to their chest and didn't listen to feedback. These are the worst of choices you can make in the online gaming community. Not listening to the fans that have and are supporting you. And to restrict content for the Xbox users isn't punishing Microsoft, it's punishing the gamer. The one who went out and bought your game. No excuse for that. NONE. All I ask is that you, The gamers and the consumers and the developers really think about how you model a game. Are you modeling it for yourself and a close knit group of friends or are you modeling it for everyone. Are you going to tell everyone that your company is going to restrict CHOICES? And then consider your choices, and what you want in your choices and from your choices. Lastly, speak out. Don't let drones deter you from voicing your opinions, concerns and wants. But will you listen? Probably not. Prove me wrong, Bungie.

 • Choices is exactly what it comes down to. I love destiny and would easily give it 8+ out of 10 but not having matchmaking is a bit of a joke. I am not a hardcore gamer in any way, I am at Uni, I have a job and I live with my girlfriend (who isn't so fond of watching me on my Xbox, for some reason) so my availability for online play varies day by day. This is the same for the friends I have on live. It's very rare that we are online at the same time anymore as we all have other stuff going on and don't spend a lot of time gaming. This is going to make it really difficult for me to complete these raids. I haven't got the time to put into a clan and can't commit to regular slots that I'll be online. Matchmaking would be perfect for me. Yeah, I might get stuck with some idiot that won't listen or communicate and goes it alone but I might also get people that communicate well. We don't need to be friends prior to a raid to be able to work well together. PvP (not just on destiny) has been full of random matchmaking that has worked brilliantly for task oriented gameplay that requires communication. Doesn't matter if it's with your best mate or a complete stranger. You might want to play these raids with just your friends and having matchmaking available would not stop you from doing that, it would just open them up to more people. It would also be quite handy to have somewhere in the tower to go to meet people who are wanting to go on raids. Like a pre-raid meeting point or something so that arranging raids with strangers without matchmaking is easier than using the forums or 3rd party sites.

 • I agree 100%. I like your idea at the end by the way. At least have a meeting place in tower, brilliant.

 • Thankyou :) I have to concede though that there have been some good points raised that make the idea of doing raids with ransoms much more difficult such as the progress being saved with the fire team leader. Could be difficult to reorganise after the first attempt. It's not impossible though. If the group worked well together, just need to add eachother as friends and then message about times etc. It might be worth making free chat possible in that place in the tower, then if you want to chat you can (especially useful for setting up raids) but you also don't have to go to it if you don't want to.

 • I'm not defending them, there's nothing to defend. To defend someone would suggest that there is something to defend from. If so, are you on the attack, why? because they did something you don't like? They made a choice, that's it, and you don't like it. That's all this is.

 • Yep, they made a choice I didn't like (I'm being attacked, send in back up, send in back up!) So I'm speaking out about it and how I want it addressed and fixed. That's all this is.

 • I agree as well, there should be matchmaking for raids, some people like to be lone wolves, especially if you're a hunter.

 • I agree - I can't remember how well Bungie listen to the community since the Halo days but I really hope the option to choose matchmaking or friends is added to raids, it really does need it.
