WTF IS THE DEAL WITH CRYPTARCH LVL?!!!!!!!
My cryptarch lvl is 8 almost 9 and I never get legendaries for purple engram drops. Only have had one purple and I have decrypted at least 8!!!! Then my friend whose lvl is 2 gets his first one and gets an exotic?!!!!! WTF MAN. DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT THE DEAL IS?

Level 175 haven't seen a legendary since December from that bum.

I know this is an old post, but it still raises a good question: What EXACTLY is the purpose of leveling him up? My Cryptarch has to be around level 40-50 by now and I really don't see a difference since he was patched and can no longer level engram down.

They actually changed the Cryptarch system a while back. It used to take less time to level up and you got basically all blues all the time =p After the patch, they made the cryptarch take more points to level up, with the promise that it would have a better chance to give you legendary gear. Honestly though, I feel like it just made it even less rewarding, considering I still always get blue engrams instead of legendary stuff

3 RepliesFirst, RNG. Also, your friend is not level 2. Legendaries drop from mobs when you reach [i]character level[/i] 24 or so. Rahool only sends legendary packages from [i]cryptarch reputation level[/i] 3 and up.

Across all three characters LVL 98-65-25 only get legendary package 1 out of every 10 levels , really bad return in loot all the time

Close to level 40, only found 2 or 3 legendaries.

Let's be honest. The guy is an overrated recycle center that's helps you sort your trash into paper, plastic, tin and aluminum. It's a slow way of making a few glimmer and some recycled materials to cobble together so decent armor and weapons.
