Compare and contrast Halo and Destiny. Which one has more activities? If your argument is "there's not enough to do", how is Halo supporting your argument?

This is absolutely right. Bungie's mistake was in allowing the MMO tag to be applied to this game. Which really I don't think they did too much of themselves, but they did let the press do it way too much. Therefore people with a lot of MMO experience have way different expectations of what this game should be, and they are let down. When you compare this game to any of the halos it has a huge extended amount of life, longevity, activities, and things to do.
Compare and contrast Halo and Destiny. Which one has more activities? If your argument is "there's not enough to do", how is Halo supporting your argument?
Halo isn't an "open shared world shooter" like Destiny says it is, so any comparison made falls kind of flat.

Edited by no1BRAVESfan: 9/16/2014 12:59:12 PMI need a source where Bungie says Destiny is "open-world". I've probably asked for this source ten times or so, and nobody can produce it. And OP was using Halo as support for his argument that there isn't enough to do in Destiny by comparison. That really makes no sense. Seeing as how Halo revolved around multiplayer, it would seem Destiny offers many more activities. That's as close to a fact as you can get here.

I don't think that's what he is saying at all. He's using Halo as an example of an amazing game Bungie made, and then saying that by comparison Destiny has been a failure. His sole point of complaint about Destiny is the lack of activities it offers. If he thinks Halo was a great game, that Destiny is worse than Halo, and that there aren't enough activities in Destiny, his logic is clearly flawed. His argument would lead you to believe Halo was better because it offered more activities than Destiny (which is undeniably false). His argument is very flawed and very unclear, so I can understand why there would be confusion.

When are we all gonna realize that games really won't be the same as they once were? When the first Halo and CoD came out they were the most innovative things since PC's and everyone loved them! Now flashforward to 2014 where almost every genre of game has been mass produced to some extent, and because of system capabilities people are expecting so much more than what, in reality, can be delivered. Bungie essentially created 4-5 open world experiences on different planets for us to play with friends and other gamers. They gave us thousands of weapons and armor pieces to go after and people want more? Do I think a soft level cap of 20 is a little to easy to achieve? Yes. Do I think the end game seems a little to repetitive? Yes. However, knowing Bungie they'll have plans for the future, what they are, we don't know yet, but knowing them they'll have some sweet DLC for the future. The hype-train came from the media and ourselves, if you were expecting more and are un-happy that's fine, go to the nearest Gamestop and return your copy, simple as that. Destiny IMO is a well-made game that is right now really the ONLY good game for Xbox One/PS4 so I'm gonna take it in stride and enjoy the game for what it is, an FPS shooter essentially.
