Thanks OP finally someone who knows what they are talking about. There is so much story in the game but people are blind. "All we do is hack this, kill that, ride there and scan some more huehuehue". (Read between the quotes with a trailer park boy accent and you have your average Joe). Everything that you do with your ghost is explained either in the loading screen or while you fight/scan or go somewhere. There is story and a lot of it. You just have to pay attention, that's it!

Ok clearly you caught something I missed, what are light and darkness in this game? are they magic? do they have a will of their own? are they forces like gravity? why are the Hive, Vex, Cabal and fallen in our solar system? why don't they work together? rasputin the war mind what exactly is he doing with his days now playing chess against himself? Commander Zavala is the Commander of who or what exactly? these are just ones I thought of on the fly.

So you do pay attention to the lore? Well I'll let you in on a little secret. Remember when there was this huge cliffhanger in the walking dead right before their 8 month break? That's the same shit with Destiny. Play, farm and get stronger for the upcoming updates. Shit will get real

Or people that demand more story are spoiled by metql gear solid 20 hour cutscenes or final fantasy games. This game, like many mmo's dont revolve solely around the story. Its about you. You make a story and you learn more and more during your adventure. I hate comparing so much but WoW has little lore in the game itself. I had to read the books to find out stuff. Just saying

Where did I say this is an MMO? I said: "This game, like many mmo's don't revolve solely around the story." Let me rephrase that for you so you will understand better. Destiny, which is not an MMO but uses a lot of MMORPG's methods, is like many MMO's where it doesn't revolve solely around the story. The only word you trip over is Massive. What genre should it be then? Multiple Multiplayer Online? A few Multiplayer online? Some multiplayer online? More than 5 multiplayer online? You're just trolling for that 1 word. Isn't Guild wars considered an MMO but when I leave the City(Tower) I don't see the problem here aside you being a douche
