NAT Strict in game but Open in network settings on the XB1

I've been having trouble with a strict Nat since the game came out so I've done what the strict Nat told me to do at the start of where I just logged into my account where I'm in orbit and went to Bungie help and set up a static IP to my XB1 then I forwarded all the correct ports, then I turned my console off restarted the router and it still comes up with the Nat error message (only strict in actual game, network settings are open). I've also tried to test my multiplayer connection and press LB,LT, RB, RT still nothing I would just like to know if there's another way to fix this or if it will be resolved in a future update thanks?

  • If you have a comcast Technicolor all in one you need to replace it. Thats the fix I guess. Call comcast and ask for an arriss router. Sorry if spelling is off.

  • I'm also getting the message, but my PS4 reports type 2 (which is moderate). But it seems to have no ill effect, I can play, voice chat works, waiting times for strikes and crucible are pretty low, so everything seems ok...

    • I have the same issue on XboxOne. Forwarded all XboxOne & Destiny ports yet Destiny always warns me about strict NAT on logging in when xbox network says open. Yet I have no more issue with joining groups or getting booted from games than any of my other friends do. What is going on with this warning and if it's genuine how can we fix it?

      • Also having same issue. This is causing me to have trouble connecting to certain friends via the destiny invite friends page and sometimes in game chat voice won't work for certain people. My ports are perfect. I wonder....those who read this....are you using comcast and using their all in one by chance?

        • Same here on the 360. Didn't start getting the message until yesterday, went through and verified all my settings were correct. Reset everything and no error message. This am, no error message. Just logged on a min ago and bam, NAT error. So damn frustrating.

        • Happens to me all the time. Lord knows why it happens but a fix is needed.
