Lol
This post is so sad
People have been hating COD for years now
Destiny is not original
They just rehashed some old mechanics together to call it a new game
That and the fact that they failed to deliver on their promise is what led to the downfall of Destiny

I defy you to find one game from the past five years that hasn't used any game mechanics that have appeared in games before it.
-
Which is exactly why no games in the past five years have defined anything
-
Edited by AverageWordsmith: 9/15/2014 2:41:31 AMHave they not? Because the Bioshock series, the Fallout series, the Elder Scrolls series, The Walking Dead, Amnesia, and The Last of Us beg to differ, as do the thousands of people who've played those game and taken something away from the experience. In ten years, when you ask someone what games they remember from this point in time, they'll probably tell you at least one of these games.
-
Lol those just happen to be the games with the most in depth stories ever made
-
Look at all of those games again, and rethink that statement. Is Amnesia going to be remembered because it had a good story, or because of its gameplay? And as a couple of additions I forgot before, Half-life, Portal, and the Assassin's Creed series. I'm pretty sure among all the examples I've listed, you'll probably remember more than a few with unique gameplay.

Well too bad Destiny takes a shit on them
-
And exactly how does it do that? It never claimed it would be world changing, and it never compared itself to any of them. In fact, I never compared Destiny to any of them either. So please, explain to me how Destiny, as you so eloquently put, "takes a shit on them". Be aware that I will consider a lack of response to mean that you don't know and are just saying the first thing you can think of.
-
It never claimed it would be world changing
That's -blam!-ing hilarious It claimed to be a fresh new game defining genre Did you miss the hype that's been around for the past year or so? Destiny failed to fulfill any of its promises
-
Destiny never made any promises, and while it claimed to be a new genre, it didn't claim to define anything. As I've stated before in a desperate post, the vast majority of the hype for this game came not from the game itself, or from its trailers or developers, but from the fans and their overblown expectations. Everyone instantly expected it to be as good as the entire Halo series after the first game, and when it wasn't, mainly because it's the first game, people got upset.
-
It came directly from the mouth of Deej You're just trying to make excuses for the game now
-
Link me to where he said it, and maybe I'll believe you.
-
Every weekly update Every interview Surrounded by fancy adjectives and grand promises
-
Actually give me a link, or an exact quote. Just saying that he said it doesn't prove anything. That's like me saying that Morgan Freeman says he's going to quit acting; you have no proof that I saw him say it, so you can't believe me. So why would I believe you here if you won't actually prove it to me?

Edited by Ingloriouswho98: 9/15/2014 4:25:38 AMHere's one for beginners
Can you still go "climb that mountain over there"?
-
No, because the decision to have the game on last gen consoles as well as next gen wasn't made until after this trailer. That's not Bungie's fault, that's the fault of Activision combined with the limitations of the hardware. Besides that, I still don't see anything claiming this game will be world changing other than the fans who overhyped themselves.
-
What? The decision to make it on last gen was one of the first things announced
-
Edited by AverageWordsmith: 9/15/2014 4:43:56 AMThat doesn't mean this trailer wasn't made before it. And we can't be sure Bungie even wanted to have that stated about the game.

Edited by TheNoss: 9/15/2014 4:06:30 AMYou sir are a Desticle, found on the forums of Bungie on Earth, these fanboys are known to disregard truth and facts to prevail one thing....."omg your so wrong, Destiny is the best everything else is wrong."
-
Why, because I want someone to show me evidence that what they're saying is true? Last time I checked, that's not called being a Desticle, that's called being smart. After all, words are cheap, and this is the internet. I could post absolutely anything, and someone somewhere would take my word for it, even if I were blatantly lying. And when have I disregarded facts? Last time I checked, the closest the guy I'm arguing with here's come to even giving an absolute is saying that Destiny is "shit", and that's an opinion. When he said that someone stated something, I asked him for proof. Would you not want someone to prove something to you if you felt they weren't being entirely reasonable?
