First of all let me start by saying it's probably not on my end, I don't have the best internet but I get pretty good speeds, and I play other games just fine. I am either experiencing terrible lag, or the hit detection is way off, all this started in the beta, I took all in stride, thinking well it's only a beta and this is the exact reason for the beta, to stress test their servers and iron out the kinks. But no, I am actually experiencing worse lag than with the beta, poor hit detection, it takes at least 5 headshots to kill anyone with the Scout rifles, the pulse rifles and hand cannons are all but useless for me, and the only usable weapon is the auto rifle, and I use over half a magazine to kill one person. Bungie what's going on? The crucible is all but unplayable. Is any body else experiencing this, or is it just me?

I have had the same experience as you have. I decided to hold off playing PVP due to feedback from my friends and comments about the lag and hit scan detection. I was really looking forward to playing PVP early on, but knew that if it was like what I and so many other experienced in the beta it would bring back the feelings I had about it then. Clearly this was a known issue as reported by so many players and felt these issues would be worked out prior to launch. I finally went in for two games last night because my friends were really pushing me to play it with them and left the Crucible after the second game due to these issues. I want to be able to enjoy the heads up play and win or loose based on my skill and tactics, not because of lag or hit detection. I will stay away from it until it is fixed. I enjoy the other areas of the game, but truly want to play PVP as it is my type of game. Shooting a player point blank with a fusion rifle and recharging for the second shot and firing as they finally die from the first shot costs time on another target. Same goes for the scout rifle firing 5-6 head shots at an unsuspecting player and they do not fall until the 7-8 is common for me as well. I can typically watch a player die from my shots as I am dying. Though I do enjoy the grind of the story and strikes for now, I can feel that sense of monotony beginning to creep in. Without being able to enjoy the PVP playlists I wonder how long my interest will hold. My equipment is good and I have good bandwidth. All recommended steps were taken to ensure quality connection. My friends are from across the US and experiencing similar issues. Heck, one lives pretty close to Redmond.
