Hello everyone, It has come to my attention that there are some people who say they are disappointed with Destiny. I am going to try to get through this post without being disrespectful to those people. Everyone is entitled to an opinion. Here is the fact. This part of the game....this initial release should be thought of as the prelude to a grand and incredible story that we have yet to understand. That is what is so beautiful about it. I will come back to that in a little bit. For the people who are negative about the game: Do you really want this game to be exactly like any other game in terms of the way it plays? People say I want it to do this or I want it to do that. Stop doing that. Destiny was created to be in a class of it's own. This is how I describe the gameplay of Destiny to people. It is a game that is somewhat like World of Warcraft (although I personally have never played that particular title seriously) except not as complex, yet also like Halo except not as simple. My point is that the fact that Destiny is not EXACTLY like any other game and that it does not do things the exact same way, which is what most people complain about, is what makes it beautiful and genius. Here is why the game is pure Genius. Okay....so I said I would come back to the game being thought of as a prelude to the REAL story. Okay, so what most people fail to understand is that Destiny is a game that is meant to last a decade or more. Well how do you accomplish that ambitious of a feat? The answer is this: You must ensure that you can draw out the story line of the game as long as possible. You must be sure you have an incredible story line before you start figuring out how to do that. I can assure you that Destiny has a story line that will blow your mind. This is just the beginning. Think of it like this. This game is like Season 1 of The Walking Dead. This is just the beginning and things are going to get INSANE as time goes on. If you like what you have seen so far my friend, you have not seen anything yet. I personally love the way that Destiny is set up, from the social aspects to the massive customization options and the story line. Yes. I said the story line. I am a fan of the way this story is set up in this game. Some people complain that the story is too vague and there isn't enough interaction. It is SUPPOSED to be that way. If you had a Royal Flush at the poker table would you show everyone your hand? I highly doubt it. If you are a smart poker player, then you would slowly attempt to bring everyone in so they will keep playing and they will have a BIG surprise when you DO show that hand at the end. THAT is how this game will be a decade or longer franchise. You truly have not seen anything yet. This is just the beginning. My mind is already blown by this. Yea...all of what's here now is really cool, but you're going to be flabbergasted when you see what Bungie and the Destiny team has in store. My advice to you is to enjoy this game and savor it, because it only gets better. I cannot describe to you how much I love this game. I think it is perfect and I am drooling with anticipation to see what is in store. This is pure genius in the gaming world. Everyone at Bungie and the Destiny team should be commended for a job well done and I cannot wait to see what will be coming to this incredible franchise in the future.
