What's the process?
-
Pretty much all you have to do is have them send an invite to the clan, then accept them. Once they do that, make sure that in your Admin tools, click About, then scroll down till you see the Xbox/PSN logo, and whatever console you're playing on, make sure you enable it. After that, make sure your friends go back to the clan tab, and make it their default clan by clicking "Make this my Playstation/Xbox clan" It says something like that. After that, you're ready to go. (You need a total of 3 people in the clan in order for your clan tag to show.)
-
so if it's already set as a PS4 clan, how do you make it to include xbox players?
-
Run through it the same way you did when setting it your PS4 clan.
-
Where do you even send them an invite to the clan? I can't even seem to find that anywhere, in game, the app or the website.
-
Not sure. I had them look up the name of my clan, and I accepted them in.
-
Yeah, thats my point. Theres no Invite system in any way, and its mega awkward. So the flow now is: - Send someone an external link to the clan page - That person has to access the Destiny website outside of the game - Ask to join the group - I have to accept them into the group - They have to come back to the site and set the Group as their clan in game. Why is it like this?! It should be: - I send an invite to PSN user from inside the Options menu on PS4 - PSN user gets that message in game and accepts - We go on a Strike together as clan members. HORRIBLE DESIGN
-
I don't know how it's done exactly, but I get invites to clans. They show up as private messages here, so I think they have to be registered on here. My guess is it's somewhere in their profile.
-
Then it's well hidden, and still a bad design. Why would a game about co-op play, hide its clan support so deep, and not include it inside the game either?
-
I wasn't disagreeing. Just stating that it can be done from the site.
-
Wanna hear something totally borked? If I click your avatar on the forum theres an option to "Invite to Group", I just did it as a test. However, I cannot find that on anyones profile anywhere. So would I have to hunt them down on the forum?? EMOJI CRY
-
True. I see where you're coming from. That would be nice, tbh. Would love to see something like that added to the game, maybe a button under the interactions menu that allows you to invite people.
-
There should be a Clan Tab next to Inventory in the actual game that takes care of all of this stuff. See invites to clans/groups you have. Send invites if you're an Admin for your clan. This website should not harbor core functionality exclusively, this is where your clan should come to talk when NOT playing.
