First of all let me start by saying it's probably not on my end, I don't have the best internet but I get pretty good speeds, and I play other games just fine. I am either experiencing terrible lag, or the hit detection is way off, all this started in the beta, I took all in stride, thinking well it's only a beta and this is the exact reason for the beta, to stress test their servers and iron out the kinks. But no, I am actually experiencing worse lag than with the beta, poor hit detection, it takes at least 5 headshots to kill anyone with the Scout rifles, the pulse rifles and hand cannons are all but useless for me, and the only usable weapon is the auto rifle, and I use over half a magazine to kill one person. Bungie what's going on? The crucible is all but unplayable. Is any body else experiencing this, or is it just me?

Lets cross our fingers that "trials" runs smoother, probably go through a few controllers if its not!
-
I died and watch the timer count to 100 as I captured the zone post mortem. Thats some serious lag.
-
normally when you are poorly connected you are at a disadvantage.. not in destiny
-
Well, I guess I'm not the only one.
-
I'm sure some people do it on purpose
-
-
95% smooth for me
-
I always see enemies ice skating around the map right after they ice-skate-strafe out of the way of a direct fusion shot then blink jump-felwinter me in the face all the while ice skating on a fluffy invisible cloud into the distance laughing hysterically.
-
It's not ridiculous but it's not silky smooth either honestly. Had a couple lag issues last night but nothing worthy of getting annoyed.
-
The other 21% were using lag switches during iron banner
-
You know someone cheats with lag switches when they run into a Titan bubble and kill 4 people inside of it while taking no damage at all

Lag has been terrible the last couple days. With that said, me and the team i run with are constantly checking our connections to the game throughout the match. Every time we die, before we respawn we check our connection. If any of us are red barring, upon completion of the match we will return to orbit and either reset our console and/or router or even both. Even though the lag is ridiculous, we can all police ourselves when we have bad connections to the game instead of taking advantage of it.
-
When I kill somebody but they die a second later consistently then you know there's a problem. In the meantime, report every laggy red bar you see.
-
Flashing teleporting guardians. I once shot someone 6 times in the face with found verdict. Nothing happened.

I created a solution thread for this problem, check it out: https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/117922938/0/0

Yeah the crucible will give you grey hair at times ... Sometimes it's funny ... I said in a post yesterday about the crucible ... How a TITAN was using blink for his jumping ... Was like holy shit ... I had to check my Titan to see if there was even an option... Then realized it was just a red bar perk

This might be the oldest necrobump I've seen here.

Edited by Dauntess: 4/25/2015 10:42:28 PMLag > any weapon or super in the game. Bungie needs to get it under control. Most games you play, the top 3 players frequently have bad connections.

Whilst trying to do the melee 20 enemies. I experienced severe lag to the point that I kept getting killed even though I clearly would have already killed the enemy. For example, I tried using my bladedancer in a room of 5 people. I would have killed all of them but it took my whole super energy for me to kill 1 person. I would have gotten a great amount of kills, but lag prevented it.
-
I don't fight close range in the crucible, because when I do, I melee, the melee does no damage, I die, and then the enemy walks off and dies like 3 seconds later. NOTHING seems to die immediately, it always takes a second or 2. And it's not all my connection, when I play MCC the enemies/players die instantly, and there's no horrible delay to melee kills.
-
The outside doesn't have lag. 1/10 ign. Would do again.
-
I wasted my entire bladedancer super charge on one guy, who casually walked away after killing me.
-
I quit a match yesterday after I unloaded a full handcannon clip point blank into someone followed by a melee and he killed me in one shot with a scoutrigle somehow

There's a clear difference in games to me. Sometimes I have to shoot someone 10+ times to even get a few bullets to register. Other games, when I'm lucky, my shots are fluid and actually do what I'm seeing on the screen. If they don't have dedicated pvp servers in destiny 2 I will not purchase it.

I don't experience it that often. But tonight it was really bad and idk why.
