After installing the game twice and thoroughly testing my connection I have deduced that if you are getting the centipede error code like I am that Bungie has not adjusted for University hubs or server connection. No one on my floor can play and are getting the same error code. My brother is not at University and is getting the Cattle error. I'm not sure what is going on but I hope these issues are resolved as soon as possible because I'm already weary of this purchase. I love Bungie but mass server issues and error codes on the first night sends a bad message. Furthermore there is no support to assist. I will see what happens tomorrow but my guess is that these issues will not be fully resolved any time soon. It also seems odd that one specific code is designed for University hub/server errors. Who else are having these issues? What is happening elsewhere?

Still getting centipede at Kent State. I hope something is going on to fix this problem. Haven't heard anything from IT since this morning
-
Duquesne University barely works, I had to run a bridged connection from my laptop to get anywhere. Doesn't load me into sessions with anyone else.
-
Set up a mobile hotspot just to see what it was like, played for an hour and a half and almost ran out of data because it was so good. Just makes me want bungie to fix this that much more lol

Edited by TheBrogrammer: 9/10/2014 10:20:45 PMAlright... After while of trying a million different things we've had a style of loading games that has allowed me to gain access on MULTIPLE DIFFERENT OCCASIONS. I have played to level 6 and continuing to play even though I'm on a college campus, getting the game started is the most of the issue but when I do it plays fine and matchmaking works flawlessly, Try this procedure and see if you have the same luck I do. Procedure FOR XBOX ONE: Turn on Xbox One, Open Destiny Recieve Centipede Code Open another digital download game (in my Case Forza which came with) Press home button Open Destiny Again **Repeat until given access I have gained access on 12 separate occasions from last night to this morning and I'm still actually playing the game this instant** Good luck, post some success stories when you get them:P

Watch out. Some are taking advantage of this situation. If they message you with @bungie.com, it's fake. It's .net.
-
Not going to lie here, depression is setting in.
-
I'm not even at a university and I get the error, even after opening my ports and doing every little thing they said to do it fixes nothing.
-
So has anyone had any luck since Bungie's post?
-
so here is what my college said "Hello, Thank you for contacting the Help Desk. Computer Services security policies do not allow for the opening of specific network ports for online gaming. We have had overwhelming request about this exciting new game title and the problem on the campus network. We discovered that the problem is not only Temple University, but most campus networks across the United States. Bungie released a statement informing they are aware of the issue and working to resolve it. So it looks like there will be an update/patch to resolve the issue. You can read the article here: http://www.polygon.com/2014/9/10/6131017/some-college-campuses-blocked-from-playing-destiny-bungie-working-on Additionally you can follow @Bungie on twitter for updates on when they will address the issue." So it looks like I'm shit out of luck on my side of things bungie please help me!!!

I am playing on my own wifi, no where close to a university. Got error code centipede. Hard wired PS4 to router, no problems. Just got a new router due to D3ROS and a Belkin network issue......glad I kept the receipt .

Samford is still getting the dreaded centipede! Hopefully a fix soon. For those in Alabama let's keep at it till we get a fix!

Another Update for University of Dayton Kids Bungie also contacted me about working with our IT department. I passed along UDITs gaming email, and told UDIT, they seem extremely receptive to it. Obviously this is good for everyone, not just UD kids, but it's also cool to see our Uni actually helping out bungie.
-
I keep getting the marionberry error code. I live at a college apartment off campus. The apartment provides internet and I have no access to its settings.
-
Centipede is love. Centipede is life. All hail the Centipede.

We done got published again. This time from Polygon! They are news and stuff. I wonder if IGN or anyone else will pick it up?
-
So Bungie has contacted a few guys at my school, Kennesaw State University, and now relaying the info to our IT department hopefully it'll start working soon.
-
Bungie, I can get you in touch with the it department at Tennessee tech where everyone that's trying to play here is having this problem.
-
i call my tech support at my university and they said that they will not open the port to the game so if you can have code coming up that is some BS that the school will not open it call you tech support and ask them why
-
can anyone tell me how I can get in contact with bungie? cause my college might not even open up the ports
-
Jackson, Michigan still down

So we all have been affected and it blows! I really hope bungie fixes this with haste and gives us some forms of apology! Big thanks to John and everyone else who have been in this forum! Together we can get them to fix it.
