Centipede University Connection Issue
After installing the game twice and thoroughly testing my connection I have deduced that if you are getting the centipede error code like I am that Bungie has not adjusted for University hubs or server connection. No one on my floor can play and are getting the same error code. My brother is not at University and is getting the Cattle error. I'm not sure what is going on but I hope these issues are resolved as soon as possible because I'm already weary of this purchase. I love Bungie but mass server issues and error codes on the first night sends a bad message. Furthermore there is no support to assist. I will see what happens tomorrow but my guess is that these issues will not be fully resolved any time soon. It also seems odd that one specific code is designed for University hub/server errors. Who else are having these issues? What is happening elsewhere?

4 RepliesStill no word here at Wright State University. Tried to boot up Destiny but I'm still getting centipede. I was hoping CaTs would give us an update this morning but I would like to think that we will get some kind of update sometime today.

17 RepliesConsole: Xbox One School: Binghamton University Error: Centipede I have contacted my schools IT Center, and they said they know about the issue and are working on it and will get back to us tomorrow at noon. I have talked to various people online and in the school, and they seem to be nervous that this is an issue that cannot be rectified. That is just ridiculous. I paid $60 for a game I've been waiting 3 years for, my school should NOT be allowed to block P2P for something that is 100% LEGAL.

13 RepliesUPDATE: Murray State University (Murray, KY 42038 United States) Destiny is now accessible! Apparently our IT people has got it figured out, but don't ask me how they did it! If anyone wants details, I could drop by the IT building tomorrow and ask them about it. Yayy! No more Centipede/Grape/Baboon for us (for now, and hopefully forever)!

I keep getting the chicken and occasionally the centipede error, they say if I keep having a problem it is because of testing. I haven't even been able to get to the character customisation screen yet. It is a little bit pathetic and disappointing that the devs that supposedly care so much about delivering quality have done next to nothing to an issue stemming from the beta and alpha. 3.3MB average speed(BF4 work perfectly) NAT type 2, PS4 and I am in South Africa. I have tried playing at all times of the day.What do you guys recommend, you guys are much more knowledgeable than I am. #BUNGIEPLEASE #fixcentipede

5 RepliesKennesaw State again, just got an email from our IT saying that the problem is coming from the way Bungie manufactured the game and that I would have to get in contact with them. They also brought up that other students have had complaints, so I don't understand why our IT wont try and help us.

1 ReplyThe IT department at my school, Olivet Nazarene University, is currently working on a solution to getting us playing Destiny. Cool thing is, they have done this themselves and were working on it before anyone said anything, they did prior research to see if Destiny would work and they have been working on it to see if it would. This is awesome to me. I know everyone is saying this but if someone from Bungie wanted to contact me to connect them with a IT department that is being very proactive about this then let me know. Hope they figure things out on both ends.

Buying a new game you've been excited about for weeks only for it not to work, even a little bit, because of a problem evident since the alpha. Then to have zero information about if it can or will be fixed. All while the developer belittles the problem and blames it on the user. So much good will I had toward bungie has all but evaporated.

2 RepliesI go to WPI and was also getting the centipede error on xbox one. I tried what I could but I don't have much say on the network admin side. Fortunately I am grandfathered in to my unlimited data plan, and have full LTE service in my room. Made my phone a hotspot and have been able to play just fine through the cell network! A fix would be nice though, so I didn't have to have my phone to play xbox one.

Tried to get on Destiny once again for the hell of it and nothing but the usual. Hopefully the IT at Kent State or Bungie gives an update in the morning. Would be amazing if we could play Destiny this week or at all period.

Not getting Centipede and can get into the game, but the lag is so crippling and bad that I might as well not get in. Trying to work with IT to get the ports opening, but not getting a lot of responses back. Hopefully there's something Bungie can do on their end.

They can at least give us some intel. And I hope they are aware it's NOT ONLY ON UNIVERSITIES/CAMPUS but also at some homes where all ports have been opend and NAT Type is Open but still getting the Centipede erreo. Please fix this Centipede error!

2 RepliesGot in this night was able to play with 2 friends uninterrupted for 4 houres everthing worked fine world was populated crucible worked fine got kicked at 8 am and now centipede all over again cant get in annymore AGAIN

2 RepliesI've gotten destiny to work by using hotspot shield and conectify. I used hotspot shield to create a VPN and then used conectify to make a hotspot off that VPN, I've been playing Destiny just fine ever since Xbox One
