Only 20 missions altogether?
Apparently there are only 20 missions (story wise) and that each is for each level, with the max level obviously being 20. Anyone able to confirm this? Because if it's only 20 levels and missions, Bungie are seriously taking the piss if they think this game will be as good as they're saying. It's not looking good for Destiny at the moment...
Don't get me wrong, I'll be playing the shit out of it the minute servers go live, but I'm just saying....

2 RepliesCalling bs! Didn't they advertise 32 story, 20 or so strikes plus other missions totalling over 100 Plus lvl 20 is where the game really starts. If ur gonna hate. Go play Minecraft.

5 RepliesThe story is the beginning of the game. It's basically the intro to the world etc. The story starts at lv1 and makes sense to end at lv20 which is the first level cap, and also when the real game begins. After which, you begin your journey to reach the actual current level cap of lv30 which I assume will be where the vanilla version of the game ends. (levels after 20 are granted from acquiring gear with motes of light on them) And requires hard mode raid gear to achieve (which will take a long time to achieve.) And next they have already said the first DLC should be around December. Which who knows what will happen then, but the next dlc will come soon after that also. And so on and so forth. Basically. There should be a steady flow of things to do assuming you don't mega power grind and skip everything to be world first lv 30 or something.

In the game I have already come across at least two story missions for level 4 and a patrol mission at 4 as well. So, no not just one 'story' mission per character level. Spent about two hours in the game this morning and spent the majority of time just fooling around in the patrol level with no objective active at all. This game already feels huge in scope!

No it's 20 strikes dude, not missions. There are 32 missions not counting the daily and weekly special missions. Bungie told us this almost a month ago in their weekly news.

1st DLC expansion is in december... Even if it was just 20 missions the replay value of each mission is worth redoing over for drops and exploration, people will still be doing missions/strikes/raids/pvp from the original content by the time the DLC expansion is released.

I hope that ain't true. There was like, what, 6 or 8 in the beta, which I assume is the same first 6-8 in the full version. I'm expecting to basically be replaying the beta in the beginning of the full game.

Well, the one per level would be false, because on the Moon (for that ever so brief time), there were two story missions of the same level if I remember right.
