Sunsinger is more of a DPS subclass than Bladedancer or Gunslinger mainly because of it's DoTs, the ability to carry 2 grenades and the fact that Radiance boosts all of your abilities and not just your melee or gun damage for a short time. Essentially you will be able to throw down like 5 or 6 grenades while Radiance is active (double that if you gift of the sun.), Melee is one-hit on most enemies, Or if you want a DoT spec running Viking Funeral will ignite any enemy that is damaged by one of your abilities. We also don't know if Radiance will boost weapon speed, Gun damage, or movement speed while under the effects either, but it seems unlikely. Bladedancer and Gunslinger are more of burst damage subclass. Also getting into melee range of a boss has proven to be a bad idea, based on the Alpha and Beta. I honestly don't see Hunters being very useful in Raids. The only real thing I can see them being useful for, is clearing trash mobs with blade dancer, and possible generating a lot of orbs for the team and that's about it. Not saying they won't be able to do it, but stacking the team with Defenders, Sunsingers, Voidwalkers, or Strikers might be a better solution. My ideal Raid composition would probably look something like this:
Striker
Defender
Sunsinger
2 Void Walkers
Bladedancer.
The Strikers and Voidwalkers would be great at crowd control and also be able to do heavy damage on trash mobs. A Sunsinger with song of flame would reduce all cooldowns of the fireteam, and also be able deal high dps across many different types of enemies, while the Defender would put up a shield to draw aggro or if someone needed to recover. Depending on the how the Defender specs, they could also buff the fireteams weapon damage or give them even further damage resistance while also generating even more orbs for the fireteam. Suppressor grenade is also capable of preventing enemies from using abilities for a short time which sounds amazing when used against a boss. Combine that with the Sunsinger's Song of flame, and the Defender can keep spamming grenades on the boss, preventing him from using abilities. (Defender and Sunsinger are sounding like the most important roles in the Raid atm.) Bladedancer could come into play by clearing trash mobs whilst taking minimal damage because he/she would be invisible and generating orbs for the fireteam whenever Arc Blade is up.
Not bashing Hunters, but to me they seem very inconsistent and don't really seem to benefit the team in any way. You say they are high dps, but I'd much rather take a Sunsinger who can deal just as much DPS, if not more, because of his abilities to reduce cooldowns, lay down DoTs on a ton of the enemies, and because he's just more tanky than the Bladedancer. Plus who knows Song of Flame could stack with Radiance resulting in even FURTHER reduced cooldowns for the Warlock's grenades.
Hate to break it to ya, but Hunters are looking more and more like a PVP class everyday.

Exactly what I speak of. Shunned. I just think every class is always better to have in raid than just one or two types of classes. They all bring something.

Yeah man. I'm sure Hunters will be able to clear the Raid just fine though. Don't worry about it too much. Finding a team should be no problem for you either.
