Why is everyone wanting to be hunter now? I choose to be hunter before the beta because it was the least liked and used class now every kid want to be it why? Who started this "fad?"

Because Hunters can double and triple jump.
-
Hunters have always been the most popular class. It combines the people who like the play style with people who like the look into one big group. Warlocks attract fewer, even while drawing the 'holy crap space magic!' crowd, and Titans are the least popular (despite their undisputed superiority). That's how it was 6 months ago, that's how it is now.

I was a Tiran becuase he was badass then it got famous so I moved to Warlock, then it got famous, now Hunter is famous ;( Sad world out there.
-
OP says,
"I was a hunter before it was cool"
Well ya ain't cool sonny

"I was a hunter before it was cool"

Well hunter was the first and only class I chose in the beta.I always go with damage dealer/rogue/thief classes. I got too used to it, tried out warlock cuz of their cheating super but it just isnt hunter. Double jump meant everything to me. That alone just makes it better, not counting triple and blink. I felt like a super saiyan. Hunter is the most difficult class to play but if u can play it good the super aspect is irrelevant.

I used to be ahunter but i got havoked all around I used to be titan but i got nova bomb to the knee You used to be a hunter until you saw gigant balls of light striking your face
-
I'll be Batman... ...always be Batman.

Edited by FairlySplendid: 9/3/2014 4:19:57 PMIt's just a fad and bandwagoning. A month from now it will be the Warlock class. Then the Titan... Warlock again.... Hunter. Hunter. TITAN! Warlock! It's how meta games go in ARPGs. It's a never ending loop. Hunters will be the fav until they get their faces melted off by some other super ability in PvP. Then the popular opinion will shift to the next class.
-
Although there are those who actually are choosing the hunter because they liked it from the beginning. There are those people who choose it because of the stupid trailers, especially the cinematic trailer making the hunter look like a god; so a bunch of retards think it's the way to go.
-
Let me just say that when I played the alpha and beta I went in with an unbiased opinion on the classes so when I played pve with the hunter I found myself disliking the golden gun super since it seemed to be the weakest of the three supers available. If anything the hunter is going to be my last choice when it comes to my character selections. Mind you that I strictly bought Destiny to play pve with less attention towards pvp.

Its funny how before the beta everyone was saying the hunters suck
-
If I'm completely honest I chose hunter from the start before even taking into account how good each class was, he just looks so good I had to choose him!

More cod fans are joining the hype train
-
One word comes to mind. BLADEDANCER
-
Are you trying to be hipster? Way before we even knew the beta date, I chose hunter base off of cosmetic purpose, and wanted to a hunter after reading each of the class's lore. After playing the hunter in the Alpha, I loved it. Try ed titan and warlock, wasn't too impressed. Once I reviewed all class skill trees, Hunter blade dancer is what I want to play as the most.
-
I hope you have nightmares about everyone you see in public wearing Hunter cloaks, including your parents whose gear will match yours. The only Warlock and Titan will be Gene Simmons and Chuck Norris, respectively.
-
Yeah, i mean, in the beta, everyone was. . .oh, sorry, what was that Bungie? You say that in the beta there was less than a two percent difference between the usage of the most- and least- chosen classes? You mean that, basically, the distribution was nearly 34%, 33%, and 32%? Oh, well, i guess it's not really a new thing. Sorry for wasting your time, i thought i was a unique and special person, but i guess i'm well within the normal range, like most everyone else on the planet. . .

i like warlock still, always have and i think ppl r going with hunter now cause the sick capes and the one shot golden gun
-
The hunter was always the most popular (by a small margin mind you) compared to the other classes and it was the first to be revealed. When I heard that hunters were going to have a stealth/knife skill tree, I immediately knew it was going to be the rogues like in WoW. They aren't OP per se, its just the skill set they offer fits perfectly in the PVP niche. PVP fights are usually over and done within five seconds and is usually decided by who attacks first. By that logic, having a class that excels in ambushing/stealth and quick strikes would dominate in that environment which it looks like it will. Only time well tell once we see how other classes fair (self rezzing sunsingers and disentegrate shielded defenders) against the bladedancers wicked super.
-
Probably the cloak. I'll be playing Sunsinger Warlock though... Because fire.
-
I agree, apart from im a titan
-
I was on the Hunter train but like the Warlock after Beta more. But I will still 100% be making a hunter as my 2nd. Will be playing this game For a long time!
-
why? Bladedancer. ppl see OMG CLOAKIN, KNIFIN & TELEPORTING?!?!? think easy kills hop right on it thinking they gonna be on some next level ninja shit when in reality most will still be bad and better off playin a role more suited to them but hey what can u do. Ill be stickin as my warlock and praising the sun all day :P
