Welcome to the real world buddy where everything costs money you may never have noticed because people paid for you but this is how it works. And if my extra 5 dollars for a map helps gaming companies continue their good work by making awesome games then I guess I'll just have to suffer and pay up.

  • Did you even read the post, Grave? I said I had no problem paying for expansions to expand on a games story and help contribute money to the company, and that I've already pre-ordered expansion passes. (which I never do for any game.) The post is about giving fans a small mark of appreciation every once in a while. (I pre-ordered Destiny, the strategy guide, and the expansion passes with money I get from lawn mowing and my part-time job, so no, I don't have everything paid for me friend. My parents have always believed in having their kids paying their own way and learning to make priorities with financial decisions.)

  • Well good that you pay for things but the way you worded your post was what really got me. I agree they should give little goodies and who knows they may so before you post hate on the potential we may have to pay for everything allow the game to be released before you judge it. Also the game itself is a giant goodie so I say appreciate what we have because if we concern ourselves with what could be then we will go mad.

  • I can understand that, and that was one of the things I worried about when making this post, since it honestly can be interpreted either way. I made this post because I can already see it in the form of activision giving out free shaders "IF" you pre-order CoD:AW. It could easily evolve into microtransactions, and that's part of why I made the post, the other part was it would be a cool way to decrease player retention and increase player appreciation of Bungie. I agree on your last part as well, and if we just focused on the bad than there would be no point. But if you've seen my posts in the past I try and maintain a balance of both positive and criticism/negatory posts.

  • Appreciate it and I wasn't trying to attack or belittle just I've seen alot of stupidity it's hard to tell trolls from legit people. And as for micro transactions nothing is saying you have to buy it personally I don't let it bother me sure it's cool to have different colors buy if I like what I have why should I pay more for something I may not use in a week or two. So keep posting and I'll see you come September 9.

  • Yeah, it's kinda sad how many trolls there are on this forum now. Sure, and microtransactions in a small, controlled amount is good. As long as it's not a game-winning weapon, or 50 different cool camos that you can get for your gun. And those are the type of things Activision has done in the past, so that's why I'm a tad fearful. Thanks. :)
