Exotics are the holy grail of the game, they are super over powered items and major game changers. You can't even use more then one exotic weapon and piece of armor at a time. It makes sense that they wouldn't throw out an entire set of exotic weapons and armor for completing the raid. Although I do think at least one would be nice

I don't think that's true. As every exotic gun I've seen does only 396 ATK, however faction weapons have 510 ATK. However Exotics just have better final abilities I think.

Did I read it wrong? Is this legendary stuff you get for completing the vault OR stuff you collect on route? I mean, shouldn't the toughest aspect of the game yield the biggest reward? I get you can only equip 1 item but if you can just buy better exotics with coins from the vendor whats the incentive other to say you completed the vault? No Attitude, just trying to make sense of it all.

Exotics are incredibly overpowered only in certain situations. Therefore Raid gear is the best all around gear, considering it preforms strongly in all situations. The best way to understand Raiding is to consider a Diablo free roam. In Destiny, there are "instances". These instances are basically occurrences within the vault of glass that are random. There are a set number of occurrences that can potentially occur. Meaning if you raid enough, you will eventually see them all. But I mean you gotta raid A LOT. In Diablo, the forgotten Forest only has 27 potential champions/world occurrences, and I didn't run into all of them until about 600+ runs. So basically what Bungie did is it made each occurrence have a specific set loot table. Meaning this event has the potential to give you this item Every time you encounter it. Then other events have other loots you can encounter, Ect. By definition - these encounters can be just about anything. - Sealed doors that need hacked by ghosts that you have to fend off against waves of enemies to successfully open - Certain mini boss battles or main boss battles - combinations of enemies that are potentially lethal - mazes - parkour obstacles that have lethal consequences for failure but loot worthy of a champion Just ideas to consider when trying to des cypher what a encounter is with occurrences on maps

No problem, I understand. I'm not sure how exactly you will collect all of the items shown, but I do believe that those wont be the only items to get in the raid. Bungie has a thing for given us a few details to wet our appetite but then hiding the rest of the eggs for us to find on our own.

Bungie has said you will only be able to wear one exotic armor piece and use one exotic weapon at a time. So, no point in giving you a full set of exotic armor when you can only use one piece.
