This needs to happen. We need more immersion into this world that we are resurrected into.. we need more npc interactions and to be able to learn things that have happened. Not just, "hey glad you're awake, things have changed, now let's go."

That last quote is eerily accurate.

That's all I got from the first mission of the beta.. kinda sad. Would have been cool if while the ghost resurrected you, it somehow imprinted a brief history lesson. Flashes of history. Like how you died, then a sort of time lapse of the decay and collapse.. enemy races, arrival of the traveler.. things like that.

The story is supposed to be revealed over 10 years. I like the mystery, but really want to explore the last city.
-
I'm hoping the story is better portrayed on full release. While keeping in mind there probably won't be much change. I can hope tho right.

I'm with ya.. it seems as they tried to throw everything in the silly grimoire cards, and all we really get in dialogue is from the story missions.. or lack thereof (just basing from the beta anyways)

Edited by Solus06: 8/31/2014 1:07:45 PMIt's a little bothersome that the basic lore of the game is hidden behind astronomically large kill counts and other stuff. Why must I kill several thousand enemies with a scout rifle just to know what a scout rifle is? I do like the ideas of the bonuses you get for it though.

The bonuses are pretty legit. But like you said, killing mass amounts just to learn about something.. which you can't even access in game.. lol come on..
