Its because its a role playing game your guardian does not have to to be a spitting image of you maybe people like the smaller build because the want a ninja character
Others because the just want too why do males choose a male character do you like looking at a man constantly? I don't that's why I choose a female they are more appealing to me and my play style. And I don't think people should be called names based upon there play style. Rant over

Picking a male magical space robot is definitely closer to myself than a female human magical space warrior. Wait... The only pervs are the ones complaining about guys playing girls cos they are horny dogs who want to bother women in game. Get all upset and limp when my deep, manly voice comes over the mic XD

Don't care either way. If I want to put myself in that characters shoes I normally create a male character ( like in ME), if I want to get a different point of view I create a female character, and usually I find most people friendlier and more willing to party up and do mission or a quest. Definitely don't need to worry about gear that much. So for a more social experience I definitely prefer making a female character. Because playing games with strangers is more laid back and enjoyable.

It's a role playing game, you are the guardian, so in this case you are a girl, so my point is if you don't care we don't care, it's just stupid if you think about it properly.

Edited by Hiatus: 8/26/2014 4:38:16 PMI never understood the "if I'm going to stare at a character the entire time might as well be female" argument. Even more so when you consider 80% of the time you can't even see your character because it's first person.

Read the title, not the post yet, and all is can say is Dat Ass

Edited by That Halo Dude: 8/26/2014 4:04:11 AMMy main Guardian is female because the human males in Destiny are too burly to look good in Warlock robes. My Titan will be male Exo for maximum bulk. Hunter can go either way, but probably female because girls make awesome snipers. I know some people do, do it for the role playing / more agile looking character thing. But to tell you the truth most people do it cause most games these days have jiggle physics.
-
I like your answer my fellow guardian

Making a female character is all about wanting to make a strong willed female lead in an industry that generally fails to do so on its own.

Edited by slackerboi: 8/26/2014 4:53:06 AMI understand the whole role-playing concept of a smaller build for a ninja style or something similar. However, you're never constantly looking at a male or female character (unless you're in the tower) since it's a 1st person shooter; You're only going to see hands and feet. It doesn't bother me that much, but I do wonder why guys will make that choice. You're in my opinion sounds fine, but not all players have honest reasons like you when they do that.

I'm not trying to be a dick, but can you put some more punctuation?

Excuses...excuses it's cool just admit it your insecure, pervish or your just plain weird

I'll tell you the reasons males chose female characters... BOOB PHYSICS!!!!! We men need something to jack off to when we make our character (or some one else's) do something that would make MASSIVE TiTs wobble in our faces!!!!! #boobies #sarcasm #420blazingYOLOswag #enough with your hashtags already

I have no problem with guys making female characters, I don't care, I'm not tryin to bag over PSN However I've never created a female character in a video game besides for my girlfriend. It just feels uncomfortable to be completely honest.
-
I'm like really really competitive and females have less to shoot at.
-
I play as both. I'm going to have a male Titan and hunter then a female warlock
-
Freakshow basement stalker or tranny
-
Does it really matter?
-
I like boobs.
-
Well considering a majority of destiny is looking at your hands and your gun you don't really get time to see your character unless you go to the tower/reef

o.o I guess I dont really care about the gender of my characters when not given a choice. But in a game like this I always play male. Its my character, its me in a virtual form. So I try to live my fantasy in my games. And though the female figure is appealing I don't have the desire to be a woman. So I also don't want the virtual me to be a women either. Also in a game where gender is irrelavent (neither gender has its own skills.) how does it effect your play style? Unless seeing a woman when you swap out gear makes you play better then it once again becomes irrelavent right?
Not a troll just an observation.
