The reason males choose female characters

Its because its a role playing game your guardian does not have to to be a spitting image of you maybe people like the smaller build because the want a ninja character Others because the just want too why do males choose a male character do you like looking at a man constantly? I don't that's why I choose a female they are more appealing to me and my play style. And I don't think people should be called names based upon there play style. Rant over

  • I choose my character creation on not just looks but how it represents it's class. I don't choose off gender, I go with whatever I feel. My opinion.

    • Because men are obsessed with boobs? I'm pretty sure if I had a pair I'd flop them around a bit

    • I play female characters because I'm tired of playing males in every single game. Gets boring after a while. Even if some are badass. Just a little change of pace

    • I like strong female protagonists. Always played as female shephard in Mass Effect. Stronger character but also better voice actor I thought. I just like to move away from a generally male protagonist character. In beta I had two male characters and one female. Just like diversity.

    • I choose depending on armor appearances and animations. I usually like the smaller, less bulky and block like builds of the female characters. There's about a 50/50 ratio to male female in my choices though. Female awoken titan as my first character and male exo warlock as my second. It's all aesthetics in determining my choices.

    • A female is more appealing to your play style? What does that mean?

      • I dont care what gender people choose to play as. But the excuse "I'd rather look at a females ass than a males ass" is a stupid excuse for Destiny because it is mostly in First Person. Then for the parts that are third person, you should be paying attention to your surroundings and where you are going and not constantly watching your characters ass. If you are constantly staring at your characters ass, im sorry but something must be wrong with you.

        • Whenever people say that they like staring at a video game character, whether it's male or female, I always think of how weird and desperate that really is.

I've always felt a little weird about people wanting to have their characters look exactly like themselves, maybe it's just a personal issue but it seems narcissistic to me

            • Characters I create tend to have a look, a personality, a moral code, etc. that I create in my mind, so I base my gender off the persona of the character I'm choosing to play as. Sometimes a male fits the role better, sometimes a female does.

            • also if everyone made their characters look exactly like themselves we would have a bunch of lanky awkward looking teens and over encumbered guardians. ;D

Rant over[/quote] Why do males pick males? I make my character look as close to me as possible. So it could be like me as a bad ass healer, warrior, mage, or in this case a warlock with cool space magic abilities in awesome looking armor. Role playing doesn't necessarily mean making your character look like a completely different gender. I want to make me as an awesome character with cool looking armor and abilities that I wouldn't mind having in the real world. So I role play as myself in the role of what classes they have. Many just want to undress their girl character and just be perverted looking at the physics of the game on the characters body when moving and curves. Has annoyed me a bit like really I don't really see any other reason why people would legit get a girl. Looking smaller in games I guess works if you don't really resemble a girl unless they don't care their character looks like a small girl compared to the male.

                • Honestly it all comes down to what you prefer to look at while you play. Maybe the Awoken female has a better run to you. Maybe the Exo Male is the robot-stud that a girl dreams about. When you play an RPG your character DOES NOT need to be you and people forget this all the time. I've decided not to play a female character in Destiny (mainly because I'm a Titan and want to be as big and bulky looking as possible) but I have before in WoW, Rift and other games. In a game like this where you're going to be investing hours of time into how your character looks and feels you need to make sure that the base character you're starting off with is something you enjoy looking at, whether that's a male or female character. It literally has NOTHING to do with your actual gender, preferences or sexual orientation. Come on guys, grow up.
