Second thoughts on your first character class?
Is anyone else having second thoughts on their first character class after playing the beta and seeing more and more gameplay videos? At first I was dead set on my first character being a warlock, but after seeing the lvl 29 Titan in action I'm currently on the fence between Titan and warlock.
The Titan looks amazing for PVp with the jet pack, super-man like fist slam and group sheild. The warlock seemed somewhat weak in PVp in the beta but I think it will be significantly more powerful at higher levels with teleport and all. I also hated the glide in the beta.
What to choose? Is anyone else in the same boat?

I'm planning on using the Master Chief Petty Officer class. I heard you get special hammer of the gods armor when you hit max rank in that class.

Nope, the hunter has always and will always be my top choice. Though I will definitely give the others a spin.

Before beta I was solidly in the hunter camp, started with a hunter, and planned on solely playing hunters because I generally go for the precision/recon/scout types. However I thought I would try all the classes and really found the Titan to be more versatile and better rounded. Plus, the jump is better (imo) and sashes are pretty epic (space paladins). So now I'm firmly in the Titan camp and not looking back.

1 ReplyBefore playing the Beta, I was dead-set on playing a Hunter, because despite the fact I'm not a great sniper, the iconic 'sniper' class seemed to have the biggest draw for me. But the Warlock always had the best looking armor to me. When I finally got a chance to play the Beta, I couldn't help myself. I started by making a Female Awoken Warlock instead of the Female Exo Hunter that I had planned on. I didn't regret it. There's just something about the Warlock that suits me, I'm not sure why. I'm definitely looking forward to playing a Sunsinger with a buffed Hand Cannon and my beloved Shotgun in the full game! PRAISE THE SUN!

Nope I knew I was going to be a New Monarchy Defender Day 1 of the beta and a Defender Sub Class Titan well before even that.

I have no idea anymore as well! I wanted to be a Warlock, because I love the magic aspect of the character. But, I was better with the Titan in the Crucible, Explore, etc. But I feel the Titan is something I would regularly pick, and want to try something new in the Warlock. So, I don't know which one I want to start out as. Regardless though, I will be eventually maxing out every class. Just want my starting experience to be the best it can be! (There has to be someone else who feels this way!!!)

I was set on the hunter class before the beta. Immediately when I launched the beta I chose the warlock. Now I'm stuck on the warlock. Granted, I did try the hunter for a bit but I couldn't deny what my heart truly wanted. Space magic.

1 ReplyI personally think that I've been sold with the Hunter class just fits my play style more then the others I'll probably make 2 Hunter classes for the 2 different subclasses It has and then maybe a Warlock but I know the Hunters are gonna take up lots of my time

If u look at dattodoesdestiny's videos. He has three on the Sunsinger, blade dancer, and defender. Just type in the subclass and then put in depth after it. The videos are really good. I would take a look

Was sure warlock before the beta but now after seeing the subclass skill tree's and the game play vids i feel myself drawn towards the titan with that sweet defender subclass. I still like the style of the sunsinger just not what i was expecting.

1 ReplyMy first will be Warlock. 100%. Second will be Titan. And you just have to practice with the glide and when to stop gliding. I think its benefits out way the faults

Edited by dee: 8/22/2014 6:51:48 PMWarlock was the last class I tried, playing with handguns only. And the warlock seems to be the most difficult to master. Titan was a walk in the park. Hunter is fun, but I've seen to many of 'em. I'll play a warlock, cause I like the challenge.
