Im not 100% but I think the servers will go up at 5pm 9/9 (Australian time).

It would be unfortunate if Australia weren't able to play it after the midnight releases. I don't see why they won't just hit the switch early, it doesn't make sense to not just have the servers live for the first country to hit the 9th. I guess we'll find out in time :/

Well 12am in USA is 5pm in Aus, that's the logic I'm going on.

Count down clicks say midnight on the 8th eastern standard time. It's 18:15 EST here now on the 20th August and the countdown clocks say 19 days which takes us to the 8th and 5:45 hours which takes me to midnight. Hoping this is right!

Dude it will be fine, the servers will be up before launch, the people on here saying they wont be are from USA and are angry the rest of the world will get the game before them. If you check everyones timer on PSN they all count down to each time zones at midnight

I wouldn't be sure since it's an online only game. Most online only games all start at same time so nobody gets an unfair advantage. Or use some type of early access deal so servers are up early and don't have to deal with the time zone mess on official release. (By online only games referring to MMORPGs since that is the model Destiny is based on) Either way I haven't heard Bungie really talk about it so as far as I am considered anything goes. You could right, I could be right, they could be right.
