Everyone is dps and equally so, we can all use the same weapons. There is no tank, even a fully defensive titan would only be able to stand in front of something like a devil walker until it point blank hits you the first time. There is no healer, every class can self heal and everyone can resurrect everyone. Also, the traditional concept of aggro isn't present.
There you have it, every build, regardless of class, is viable for raiding. Success depends on your actual skill in aiming and firing and team skills. Sure some groups might synergize builds, but it is not a necessity. If you are excluded based on your class you have encountered one or more ignorant fools. They will learn.

Actually the sun singer can decrease respawn time by a good bit and do other space magic stuff, so they could be considered healers.

Only once they can use their super and they don't heal

He didn't say they heal, just that they have a faster revive, therefore acting as somewhat like a healer

Yeah he's no where near a healer and there is NO evidence of that particular super decreasing respawn time yet.

He meant the instant revive not a super recharge. Sun singer can decrease grenade and melee respawn tho

Which is contrived, why even try to compare the classes to the roles in the "holy trinity", it does not apply and sells all Destiny's classes short.

Tanky, less tanky and glass cannon, though, are, in my opinion, terms which do not apply in the context of Destiny either, at least not in the usual way. Let me explain. Yes, each class starts with a different "emphasis", they can all, however, spec completely different, stat wise, which allows for a "glass cannon" titan and a "tanky" hunter, this is usually not the case in a mmorpg, at least not to the same extend as in Destiny. And even a supposed "tanky" guardian, will be one shotted, instakilled if you will, by a devil walker rocket, at least if the beta is any indication :).
