I mean personally I want to know how this effects me? Are my weapons gonna not kill things? Is the worst thing that's gonna happen that I don't get to hear epic music as I shoot things in the face?

If you haven't played any Bungie games before, if you didn't grow up with the Halo franchise, if you never felt your heart filled with emotions while playing or just listening to Marty's melodies, if you never got to know the man through the Bungie community, than it really does not affect you in the least.
