If you play it enough like I did then glimmer shouldn't be a problem at all. Not even just playing it enough, go to explore mode and EXPLORE. I found COUNTLESS loot chests and spinmetal. I had a new ship for my warlock, hunter, and titan class. I also had a new sparrow for each one. All were at level 8 which was easy enough to obtain... just kill some fallen or play some story missions 2-3 times to get that experience. By the end of the beta(without playing it all the time) I had all that and I still had 8000 glimmer left over with the best of every weapon and armor possible to get in the beta. My vault was full and I had soooo many STRANGE COINS and GLASS SHARDS and ASCENDRIC ENERGY and ETC. If people play the game the way its meant to be played then like for me it should be no problem to get all that back it what 10 days? Not even, because I doubt you played 10 days straight.
besides, now that I know all of Old Russia by hand, and all the available maps, I think id rather start over and work on my K/D Ratio a little better now that I am also aware of the controls of my character.
I think people should just enjoy the game and be thankful the was even a beta for Destiny. Thanks to the amazing people who always make these things happen like with the alpha or the Halo: Reach beta. they do a lot of work there and a good job at it to make these games. Like they stated, the beta is merely just to test the games so they can make fixes and enhancements and tune-ups. For example, if such things are required then lets say you try to do a certain thing you did in the beta but it wont let you in the final release, then you'll know some tweaks have been made in that certain area of the game such as the way you snipe some one. I found it was a little off at points and I feel it will be fixed in the final release. Then you'll understand exactly what the tweaks are for.
They already mentioned the way you level up and gain experience has been changed and will be different. It'll be harder or easier to gain experience now but im betting on harder because I found I got to level 8 rather quickly and if all it requires is level 20 to use Legendary items well then everyone will have legendary items within the first week of the release if not within a day or 2.

I've played less then u but i got a lot of glimmer i hardly care for it its the items and all the respect i earned for vingard i maxed it out it makes me mad it took me 8 hours to get it that high

ya I hear ya... I was high in the crucible, vanguard, iron banner and my cryptarch rank was like 1 or 2 already... I had like 144 crucible marks or something like that and I found quiyte the few qhosts... all that I do admit is a bummer but it will give you something to do for a few hours before expanding yourself even further in the game... I feel this game is gonna have SOOOOO much more that what we lost is gonna feel like nothing compared to what there is to come...like what was half the items we had in our inventory even for? plus we still have all the locked areas in old Russia to explore, then the moon, mars, and venus also. I feel you get all your items back in no tim, we only saw a fraction of missions and optional missions, plus there is still 2 species we haven't even seen yet.. theres lots to come and like I said, I feel well earn what we lost in less than a week with how much more the full game is going to have to offer.
