During the beta experience was buffed, what tells us that chest respawn was not much faster than it would really be ? Also, considering the fact that there is no trading or auction house, it doesn't matter how much glimmers one person has.

Glimmer does matter because it gets you better gear. It is the currency of the game, how can you say how much someone has doesn't matter? Chests respawned in the beta instantly, not just 'fast' which indicates that that is how it will likely be in the final game.

Unless you can get Exotic/Legendary easily from the engram dude it won't get you much later.

You can

It wasn't instant I waited to see what the refresh rate was and it took 5 min

Alright, well if that was the case then I concede that I was wrong on that. But if it takes more than 5 minutes to complete the loop than it may as well be instantly. I think there should be a limit to it. Otherwise, we have loops where people can get 10000-20000 glimmer in an hour.

In most RPG settings Money becomes next to useless. How many endgame weapons are going to be available via glimmer? I would guess running raids and the like will generate better loot for time spent, while getting glimmer via exploration is done in a separate manner creating a variety of ways to play. Hell, maybe the idea is that you don't need to fight to manage gear and they have it roughly timed out to be equal. Circling the map for chests means you aren't killing bosses. I think that this is more a problem in the mind than in practice.

Yea 5 min is a shirt time when the loop takes 7 min. Hopefully you can't so it forever. They could make a box limit per zone per day or hour.
