So I cancelled my LE Pre-Order...
...I don't know, I was thinking about it, and for me, I'm not a hard core gamer, So I really don't need all that stuff that comes with the game, it'll just sit around gathering dust and become more work for me when it comes time for the monthly house cleaning. However, that's not to say that I won't be getting the game! I"m super excited about playing it! I mean I hardly even use the plastic cases for the games :P I will be pre ordering the regular standard edition from GS to get the vanguard gear and what not, but I think $100 bucks is just way out of my price range for games in general. I don't even play DLC that often, and if anything i'll be playing the AAA games that out in October and November. Anyways, comment below on how you feel about the SE's. How you spend your money is your business so i'm not even going to try and discourage you. See you Star Side Guardians.

I am getting Digital Guardian Edition cause I know I'll be playing this game for awhile. Won't be the only game I plan to play of course, be playing others inbetween. Since the DLCs have more story missions, more strikes, and most likely more raids I am glad to pay the extra for them. So if I stop to play it I'll come back to check the DLCs. If the DLCs that come with the Guardian Digital don't hold my interest, than I know not to but anymore. That is how I plan to do it.

6 RepliesI had the Ghost Edition pre-ordered but then I realized that I too would not use any of the stuff. Also found out there is someone 3D printing smaller ghosts fully colored or not colored for only 16 bucks

5 RepliesThis was my mentality too. My friend pre-ordered the limited edition and wanted the ghost too and I was looking at them as the geek in me was interested. Then I thought whats the point, I will never use the extra stuff that comes with it (the book, or Ghost etc) and it will lose its value over time and be worthless to the majority once the servers are shut down.. So thought it would be better to spend the money on some Turtlebeach headphones which will allow me to: A) Listen in glorious surround B) Not annoy my Girlfriend with the constant gun fire C) Ignore my Girlfriend as I wont be able to hear her (I did have a good surround setup until I moved house, the layout of my living room doesn't allow it to be setup and can't run any wiring as its a rented house).

2 RepliesIf you live in the us you should at least get the digital guardian edition. The game alone is $60. The expansion pass is $35. So if you buy the standard edition and the expansion pass you'll lose money versus buying the digital guardian edition. You also get the collectors dlc included which is cool. If you got the limited edition it would only be an extra $5 for all the cool physical stuff.

2 RepliesMemory. In 10 years, when Destiny concludes, will you only have the games to remember them all by? Or will you have books describing the Legends of the Traveler, the battle between the Darkness and the Light, the History of the entire franchise on your shelf. You will be a Veteran, you will have proof that you were there when you beat the Vault of Glass, when you destroyed the Vex in their own timeline, when you found the Hive's main base and blew it up, when you annihilated the Cabal and the Fallen. Or how about the time when you went inside the Traveler and found out what was inside. All these books will have a story, a Legend, and that is why I got the LE. But, however, the Ghost Toy is useless.

I commend you on really thinking before deciding to spend on what you want. Which goes way farther than some people I know and how they behave with their credit cards :p The general example: Limited Edition??? Sold! Limited Edition arrives. Ooooh look at all these neat stuff. One year later. Stuff is misplaced, lost, given away or collecting dust in the attic.

6 RepliesThe dlc is going to be [b]new missions and strikes[/b] as well ass new pvp maps. You're going to pay about $65.00 after taxes and the dlc is $35.00, which is $100.00, right? All the other stuff is like freebie at that point. Have fun [b]not[/b] playing dlc? So weird

5 RepliesI can live with the regular edition of Destiny, if I ever feel the need to get the DLC's then I will but it's not worth $100 just yet. The only games I'm willing to spend more than the standard $60 on are The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Kingdom Come: Deliverance, and Mafia 3/Fallout 4 if those 2 games are ever developed.

1 ReplyGet the Digital Guardian Edition! This way you can pre-load, starting 9/7. You will receive the in-game special edition emblem, player ship, and ghost casing as well as the early Vanguard Armory access! It's $10 cheaper than the physical limited edition and you wont have to leave the house for a midnight release, just kick back and relax! It also comes with the two expansions which I'm sure you'll wind up getting later on once you see everyone walking around with the new gear/weapons and seeing the cools new story, strike and multiplayer gameplay.

As the two DLC packs will pretty much bump up the price so the stuff inside comes to about $5 I thought I would get the LE Edition. Also there is one intriguing item in the pack... 3 RepliesI've got the Ghost edition pre ordered and paid off ($200 AUD). I almost downgraded to the limited edition ($129.95 AUD) but after I heard how limited the ghost editions were, I decided to keep it. I'm still wondering whether I should downgrade to limited edition. I dunno.

2 RepliesI did the same thing. As soon as Amazon got a new supply of LE's I bought one, but then 2 days later canceled my order. I can't justify spending $100 on a game any longer when I have to spend $40 on diapers alone. SE it is!

3 RepliesIf your not gonna play the dlc's just get the game, especially if your gonna get distracted by other games during the first 2 months or so. If your gonna play the dlc's however, hard to argue with the value proposition for the digital guardian edition as someone on here already said. I want physical discs but im gonna wait till the trilogy is realesed in, i dunno, 2021, until then digital guardian it is.

I rarely buy LE/CE, but will indulge when there is something I'm genuinely interested in. I'm all about the lore in Destiny and wanted the star chart and guardian compendium that comes with the LE. I wanted the ghost, but was unable to get the ghost edition so I'll miss out.
