Dear Bungie, I have one question - why the game is so casual? Adding ADS mechanic brings to the table nothing else but simplicity, not to mention other noob friendly features. After hours spent in Alpha and Beta I can feel Call of Duty presence in pvp battles: lack of friendly fire, huge aim assist and arguable hit box, slow ADS mechanic, flat map design. There are much less jumps during battles are used, dodging is pointless, no vertical battles. I was waiting for Destiny for years, holding my high expectations with no doubt whatsoever, countering sharp arguments of skeptics, who had no trust to your connection with Activision. Sad to admit, but it looks like their greedy ambition to sell each of their products to as wider audience as possible has overcome you. I feel so sorry for you guys, you were cool once.

    Free to hold an opinion...though I think it is being a bit over critical in some respects. Are you talking a fixed reticle for all weapons without a scope? The ability to ADS is a natural extension and enhances the FPS experience. Unless there is another way of doing it...anything else would be taking a [u]step[/u] [u]backwards[/u]. I have played my share of Quake, Unreal Tournament, Counter-Strike et al. Personally, I have no desire to regress back to those types of gaming mechanics. If ADS was not included in Destiny...then my interest in playing would decrease dramatically. In regard to the omission of friendly fire. The splash damage of Guardian area based attacks...would make it unplayable. One would end up taking out their team-mates in addition to opponents on a continual basis. I think Destiny has just the right blend from various other titles to make it a solid and fun shooter. Furthermore, PVP is just one aspect of the game. The real interesting stuff (IMO) and major draw for many is the solo/co-op PVE elements. People say that when it comes to FPS now days...any gameplay other than competitive based MP is a dying breed. I would argue the opposite is true...and Bungie has brought to the table some new and fresh gameplay. One can only do COD so much. Really not sure what you were expecting. TBH

  • I didnt think the maps were [i]that[/i] flat, but i cant totally see where you're coming from. I wont forget getting this epic shotty kill on a warlocks face as i jetpacked over him, was pretty majestic. But yeah, i think we should wait. We have only seen 2 maps after all....

  • I completely agree that Destiny multiplayer is damn near exactly the same as Halo multiplayer, however the story/exploration aspect is unlike any other game Bungie has made.

  • I watched first vid. That was unbelievable. One thing is for sure I do not want to get on that gamers bad side. EVER! I know we are all sad to see that all data from alpha and beta don't carry over. But I do realize that at some point that bungie had to say what was coming about carryover. Well at least we all have some sort of skill before full game comes out. I know they said there are changes but I doubt it's not that much. Like the controls for game. But on top of all that we will find out soon what destiny is like.

    It was sooo CoD like, there is nothing from Halo. It is also less competitive compared to CoD itself. Self accumulating Super charges is the worst idea ever. Imagine if you getting powerful killstreak in CoD just for running around for a minute. And if you weren't attentive enough during Beta, in Destiny there will be gear with intelligence, charging them much faster.

If your a loyal Halo fan such as myself and probably 99.5% of the rest of the bungie community, then you'd realize that this multiplayer felt identical to halo.. with slight minor differences. The only thing that was like CoD was the ability to aim down your sights. Seriously you don't know what the -blam!- your talking about so quit whining like a little bitch and go play some CoD until your future fag-fare comes out.

    Where exactly it felt like Halo? Press LT+RT to kill a guy in one second feels like Halo? Are you mad? Power weapons (here called Heavy weapons and super charges) carried by EVERYONE feels like Halo? Really? If you played just Halo 4, than you better stop commenting here yourself. No Friendly Fire, giving you chances to thoughtlessly throwing grenades, shooting and using charges without a risk of damaging your teammates - is THAT Halo? It' Call of Duty. And yes, I'll better be playing more competitive CoD, where I always need to be cautious. And I can even get the game just to destroy hopeless noobs like you.
