4 RepliesFor those go think they wasted their time with alpha or beta ask your self this. Did I enjoy the time I spent playing destiny? Time you enjoy spending isn't wasted time.

1 ReplyFirst off, you can't fool me... I knew this would happen... I knew you'd tweak shit until my character didn't fit in anymore, and everyone should've known. I could care less, I've played Oblivion and Skyrim and gone from level 1 to 50 then just deleted my character because I felt like it and started over... Preventing us from going past level 8 also made it pretty obvious we were probably not supposed to get too attached to our character... So really not surprised... What bothers me is not knowing if the information on the website is still consistent with what the game has in store for us, if there were no really big changes like you say then why do need to wipe the character data...whatever you did it was significant enough to warrant taking every infant character in Destiny and aborting it... I just hope the game doesn't "feel" different because of these changes, I hope it feels...more magical, not less, I hope the changes you made don't add stress, or complicate the game... Destiny must stay true to its magic, don't lose sight of what destiny is... You got to see the fans react to the beta, let's hope they react even more positively to the full game! Oh btw don't forget to upload your times at the gamescom to your YouTube channel!

Well alright then. Apparently the ghost was wrong. Time for that old beta guardian to go back to an enteral sleep. With another month to search maybe he'll actually find the right guardian...

While I am disappointed by the fact that I'll never see my first guardian every again, I must understand that while this will end our first chapter, the story itself is just beginning. Soon we will create titans, warlocks, and hunters that will put the darknesses back to the wall, all the while remembering the brave strides and leaps we made with our first characters.

3 RepliesI can't see my guardian through the companion app. All I see is a black silhouette of my guardian on the legend page and a blank green screen for the gear stats. Same thing happens on bungie.net

I only put about 20 hours into the beta. In that short time I grew to love how my Warlock turned out. Unless they change the perks, I already know how I'd want to set up my kit and love my character even more... No homo.

Welp, can't say I didn't see that coming. Time to lament the loss of my Warlock. But it's okay. My Ghost will bring him back on September 9th.

This is why I didn't play the beta, all the areas, secrets, gear, strikes, everything will be new to me. They were always going to start over but it does suck that you guys couldn't keep those weapons & gear you worked for.

5 RepliesWhat about the space bus i won from the iron banner, or that sweet hand cannon I also won in the iron banner, or some of the other high level gear I worked hard for? Gone? Man, that REALLY sucks.......oh well, I guess its not all bad. The game is just around the corner and I know I wont be able to put it down. I don't think I can wait until September 9th

Its sad to hear that people are actually surprised that beta characters were deleted. I always assume in ANY type of pre-release build that the characters or progress I make wont transfer over to launch. Seems like common sense to me.
