This news makes me even more excited about Day 1 Launch. I get to step in, spend that time making a new character to immerse myself into the full game and when i'm traversing the open world, not care about the min/max of my level 8 weapons, As my new first goal is to breathe the Earth air as LEVEL 9!

Well. My hunter, warlock, and most importantly... Titan have all departed. Their legend ends while another begins. I'm excited to bring another guardian to life to finally once and for all, Destroy the darkness.

While he will be a new face to The Traveler, the Ghost that guides him will be far from a novice. His Ghost has been well seasoned in the fires of the Iron Banner...much more adept in The Crucible than he was prior to the Alpha and Beta...he'll able to hold his own much better than his forebears... His Ghost has muscle memory...able to quickly switch weapons or summon a Sparrow at a moment's notice... His Ghost remembers the weakness of the Devil Walker, Sepkis Prime, and all other manner of vile creatures and machinations that threaten The Last City... His Ghost will make sure he avoids the pitfalls that plague beginners and those who will begin their legend on 9/9/2014... His Ghost will ensure that he can pop lock, boogie and kick random purple balls in The Tower with the best of them... His Ghost...is ME There is no regret...only REDEMPTION. Bummed my Guardians wont carry over. I had some really good gear that I collected. However I understand its for the best, I know Bungie is working to give all of us the best experience possible. Bring it on Bungie I'll be waiting.

Cool. It was expected. I am looking forward to starting with a clean slate. However, looking at the pictured Guardian above I realized....he wears his space armor under his clothes. Struck me as funny. Love the game and even though it's too late for me to order a Limited Edition from Amazon, I ordered one for my 16 year old Nephew. With my digital download and his physical copy, we will take to the stars and bring light to the Darkness!

Only decent news is that finally it's been confirmed that the beta stats wouldn't carry over.

I missed the mailbag. I will ask my question here and maybe you'll answer it next week. In the Beta, all the faction vendors basically had the same stats on their weapons and gear. Is this going to be the case in the final game? I don't see any reason to wear faction colors to gain favor other than personal aesthetics. But there are shaders too. So???
