I love my Ghost. It's a Guardian's best friend but I'm gonna be honest... he's useless in the field... period. There's no point in having him with me in dangerous situations and seeing dead Ghosts everywhere makes me feel like I'm pointlessly endangering my Ghost. Why do I need him to call my ship to pick me? Why do I need him to summon my sparrow? Why use him as a flashlight? We have engineers at the Tower, dang good ones too. They can build devices to summon my ship and have it drop my sparrow. And if they can't make a flashlight, I'd feel safer floating from planet to planet rather than being in a ship made by them. All that said, I'm not saying replace the Ghost but make him an indispensable ally and tool. He should be able to: -Create a holo-map of places I've already been. -Let me use him as a flashlight when I want him too (when I feel it's too dark) not when he wants too. -Send distress signals to my comrades in the area before I die, not after. -Scan enemies & inform me of their weakness. -Offer access to a database (you could consider the grimoire this but I'd like to see my guardian accessing the information from my Ghost rather than me from my phone). -Send messages to the ghosts of other Guardians (in game communication via the ghost if on another planet from a friend or don't have a microphone). These are my suggestions on Ghost functionality upgrades. Bungie, if you see this, please consider some of these ideas.
