It is a good idea but you can't exactly hold the power of light when working for the darkness, can you. Unless the darkness (presuming it is a thing similar to the traveler) sends out ghosts to bring the evil back to life, I don't see how it's possible unless you are a vex, cabal, hive or fallen.

Enemy factions could believe they are good like the guardians think they are good. They could view the the traveler as "the darkness". So no reason why one couldn't wield both or a third power or a fourth type of power at once The "darkness" Could be hunting the traveler down for wiping out planets of their species. We don't know why they want the traveler dead.

The Servitors are probably the Darkness' analogue to the Traveller's Ghosts. They probably dont' bring the dead back to life...but they probably do give the living more power. The Hive probably have their Wizards because of the Servitors, and the Fallen probably have their ability to generate shields and to cloak because if them.

Then hold the power of darkness, honestly I think the subclasses should of ben done that way, sun singer are sided with the traveler n void slinger are sided with the darkness, just my opinion

Ye I agree maybe instead of wielding the travelers light you could wield the darkness' darkness
