Exotic Armor Solution

This would be cool

This would be lame

Alright, I know that many of us were pretty bummed when they said we could only equip one piece of exotic armor. How are we supposed to strut around and show off the sick armor we get? Or what if your strogest armor isn't your coolest armor? There is one solution to both these questions and its found in a game called DC Universe online. In that game you have two sets of armor. You have your equipped armor: the set that affects your skillz, defense and perks. And then you have your show off set this is just for what people see when they look at you. That way if you like the perks of one armor then you can use it without crampin' your whole style. Or you could show off 5 pieces of exotic armor you've found and only get the benefits of one piece. Please commet what you think and vote on the poll. I think this would be a great edition to the game.

  • I like the idea, I mean every one wants good stats, but I think we all know that horrible feeling we get when we have to equip a really ugly piece of gear over a really sick looming one because it's stats are better. Some kind of gear aesthetics system would be nice. We have dying but this is a good idea. Also on a side note, we are lucky because from what I saw, most of the gear in this game looks amazing. Thanks bungie! ❤

    • Orrrr this is similar to transmogrification in WoW. Either way I like it. I want to be able to have the coolest armor because fashion souls-err destiny. Oftentimes the most aesthetically pleasing set of armor is not the best stat-wise.

      • I think that it's pretty cool if you could look at what armor other people are using and infer what their build is. You can certainly still show off your armor, just not all at the same time.

        • Didn't realize a limited # of exotics could be equipped. That's very lame in my opinion. Why do I have to choose? I just don't get how wearing one prevents another from being worn.

          • Maybe they should add something better than exotic and give it the same properties, so u end up with one exotic armour piece and gun and one ?? armour and gun!

          • Bungie did this because it would keep everything balanced.

            • This would be good. I had this problem in the beta. The armor that provided the best protection for me didn't look as good as my old armor

              • If aesthetic gear is what you're after, maybe you should stick with terraria. It's great if you can find matching gear for stuff, but this is really low priority.

                • HELL YEH! dcuo system is flawless. Use any style you've found and equipped already but only get the perks from what you're actually wearing. Perfect solution. BUNGIE GET ON IT

                  • If you actually looked up any of the exotic armor aside from having a naturally higher defense their special abilities only cater to one sub class. example one titan exotic helm helps with the striker sub class and the other with defender sub-class. or to be a little more precise an exotic hunter helm can increase your abilities in blade dancer but the vambraces help with gunslinger. so even if we could wear more than one piece the beneficial effects of the armor wouldnt help. as they only cater to one sub-class each. that and there are no exotic boots so far known. That is why exotic armor is balanced this way. so that you can gear your specific guardian exactly the way you want to play your guardian with your own tweeks and bonuses meaning just because someone has endgame gear you dont have to have the exact same armors to be just as good.

                  • I do find the idea interesting but we actually get 2 pieces of exotic gear we can use at a time. I can guarantee that in the Vault of Glass you shall receive exotic gear! For now we'll have to wait 33 more days and see if anything changes.

                      • Yes I can sort log a free but I think bungie thought of that that's why they gave us the shaders to make our armor match and follow the color scheme of the shader.

I like the idea of 1 exotic it means you have to decide what to wear during a strike or raid.you person wears the helm for what ever reason and this person wears the chest piece. Makes it for a more interesting game.

                        • I've thought the same thing, I just didn't care enough to write it down. It'd be the best system for the game. And it's not like it's an origonal concept. WoW does it too I'm pree' sure.

                          • Stupid. Go with practicality or visual function. Whatever you want, but what you wear should be what you wear

                            • i think vanity slots would be purty cool... The only downside I could possibly see...though its not really a downside too much...Is people purposely wearing the starting game armor in vanity slots to deceive people in game modes such as the iron banner...though it wouldnt really be deception so much and I could care less if someone wishes to prance in the starting gear... I understand them wanting to give you only one exotic though to create a sense of differentiation amongst endgame chracters that way everyones not just sporting the best exotic gear and everyone looking the same... not really sure what to think of vanity slots in all honesty haha...

                              • This is stupid. Go with practicality or cool-asity. Exotic armor is the way it is to make destiny unique.
