The crucible has random drops for everyone so that everyone has a chance to earn loot. That way even if you suck at the game, you still have a little bit of a reason to go there, otherwise, people who are really good with their class would get all the loot and it would be pointless for everyone else

Edited by Joeyoungfitz: 8/8/2014 2:22:06 AMYou're right and wrong at the same time. I get why they have a random drop system for the crucible, but what it the point for high skill people for me who plays objectively, gets the most kills, and score top of leaderboard regularly when I only get sucky common armor and the 4ths and 5ths gets all of the legendary loot? This only encourages me do bad so I can have a shot at getting the legendary gear (that's what I did and instantly got a legendary hand cannon in the iron banner). They should keep the random loot system, but give good weapon and gears to the people that played the most objectively and help their team won.

That's why they have bounties, if you are really good, pick some up, complete them, gain crucible ranking. Buy the cool stuff you earned

Edited by Joeyoungfitz: 8/8/2014 2:47:17 AMSure..... keep kicking butt in crucible and only get sucky common gear while the guy in last place that has been AFK for 9/10 of the match gets a legendary ship.
-
Ok? Cool, you can't fight with a ship anyway. Look at all the stuff you can buy from the crucible vendor on full release, that stuff is a lot better, and isn't handed out randomly

Edited by Joeyoungfitz: 8/8/2014 2:59:29 AM^^^This guy doesn't understand^^^
-
thats fine but it still undermines the root concept of "earn your loot"
-
Well from the beta, the real crucible loot comes from the vendors anyway
-
i got a legendary ship as a drop in the crucible.
-
Ok? What goods a ship besides appearance?
-
about the same as a class specific item. the higher the rarity and level of it, the more you get for disassembling it.
-
Too bad ships are 100% asthetic and don't affect gameplay. Especially since beta gear isn't going to transfer anyway.
-
That hasn't been officially announced yet, so... Too soon
-
Bungie confirmed there isn't space ship battles at E3.
-
I was talking about beta transfer stuff
-
It's confirmed today, all beta content has been erased. Boom.
-
Ah ok
