Proximity Chat Options

tl;dr >> Have everyone in a roster, that's not in a fire-team, set to an adjustable proximity chat. Continue reading >> Remember chat options for multiplayer in halo? If you were not in a party, you could hear open mics on your team, AND the enemy player(s) that killed you. You also had the power to quickly summon a menu and mute WHOEVER you wanted in the entire roster (keeping in mind that you could see their mic symbol activity blaring nonstop). Now, coming back to Destiny. My imagination is portraying a level 4 in old Russia, hoofin' it by his/her lonesome, when all of the sudden - they are overwhelmed. In the options menu, every player will be given a 1-100 meter (in game measurements) for listening AND speaking. Let's say this level 4 prepared well and set both to 100. So this means, anyone within 100 meters can hear level 4's plea for help IF they are within THEIR preset listening range. Introduce, a solo player that's level 17 - roaming for gold chests... or whatever. This level 17 has their listening preset to 15 meters and speaking preset to 5 (cuz they're nice). Finally, we get to the epicness. Level 17 can only hear faint pleas for help the further away they are (maybe volume increase/decrease increments at every 25 meters). Once level 17's LISTENING proximity broke the perimeter of level 4's SPEAKING proximity - level 17 could immediately hear level 4's faint voice (like mouse squeak faint). Level 17 could then pull up his ghost and have his ghost identify where the voice is coming from. Hell... give a way point option too since level 17 took all the effort of pulling their ghost out to go help someone <3 Finally (part 2). And for the guardians who would have their mic's constantly blare noise, give all players in the roster an option to mute whoever they want. Thanks for reading!!

So, aside from the free bump this gets, I am going to have to play the devils advocate. I don't want to have to pop an option to mute the hell out of every tom, dick and Harry that populates into my 100 yard radius. Regardless of level parameters, if I have to stop dead in my tracks just to mute a fool... Bleh. If it was default set to off, where players had the option to turn it on instead. Then I see a win. But I don't want to hear anyone unless they're my friends. The bullshit, lame trash talk and high squealed 8 year olds (not sure if a boy or a girl) dropping n-bombs like a Riesenflugzeug over England, is just a bit much for anyone. So if it comes down to annoying all the time vs. no option at all, I will take no option at all.
