I'm focusing on all digital. This is true on my 3DS, Vita, PS4 and Xbox One. I don't trade in games (I rarely lent any out these past few years). With the new games, you have to install on the HDD anyway... I love misplaced, or scratched discs... Disc swapping, potential theft, more shelves to hold more cases...
Theoretical situation: you experience a catastrophe, like a fire. You get your family out safe, but lose all your stuff. It's not until you get a new console, and new copies of your games, can you play again. Unless you went digital. As soon as you got hold of a controller, you'd just enter your account info, and BOOM! There's your whole library, purchase history, game saves, etc. For me, digital is just simpler, more streamlined, less cumbersome.
And no more store clerks trying to shove preorders down my throat. Or trying to convince me I need disc protection. I got off that hamster wheel a long time ago.

I will say, I'd get a physical copy when it is beneficial to do so, like when getting a physical collectors edition. But I'm not, so I won't.
