Is it just me or the warlocks melee seem to have a "vacuum effect" where it pulls in targets? It's not overly noticeable but if you're just a couple meters away, it seems like it pulls them in. I have found that you have to be mobile when in a 1v1 melee battle. Especially against Titans. If you just melee and just stand there, you're going to get smacked good. I have noticed in my short play time that you either damage with weapons to lower HPs and then strafe left or right with a melee finisher to win. Or if strictly in a melee battle, you need to be "dancing" (strafe left or right to throw off person's target tracking) to win the 1v1 battle. That's how I won most 1v1 melee battles. If standing still, I melee, they melee, I die. Remember Aim Assist is hella strong in this game, so you have to combat that too. Also you have a quick window to get a rapid double hit if you time it right. It kind of reminds me of the covenant blades of old in Halo 2 before they were changed.

  • I think they all kind of pulled you in, it's just the warlocks did it from a greater range. You had to to really close for it to work with the titan/hunter, like arms distance away I'm sure. The warlocks would even pull you to the target if you weren't even dead centre. I'm sure it was like +/- 30degrees azimuth lol. I have a few videos of me using the melee with all 3 classes, and watching the warlocks is just insane. You'd get people from a good few ft away.
