I do agree somewhat i have seen several post about adding wildlife and such and it would be a nice touch but its not absolutely a necessity. First and for most i believe it is part of the story that most wildlife was destroyed in the war against the darkness leaving the world bairn. So it kinda is just part of the story that has to be in the game.Secondly in the full game there will be countless more things to do.story missions ,side missions, raids ,strikes, and just more places to explore in general. It won't be like the beta where you had to visit the same places over and over.so i think you will notice it much less when you have more to do making it less of a necessity.

  • I completely agree that the environment needs to reflect the setting, especially where animals are involved. Which is precisely why I didn't mention critters in my post and instead spoke about the lifeless characters. As for more things to do I am not concerned with the quantity of things to do but the quality. Sure there might be more strike missions, raids etc. but if they follow the same pattern of what we saw in the beta, they are going to get old. Fast. Seriously look at the two bosses for these missions and how they played out, they had far too much health and weren't balanced correctly for players ( I am not the only one who thinks this either, read the reviews of destiny on official game sites). Ultimately I want quality content not quantity content.

  • Not being rude at all and don't take it that way, but how can there be reviews for a game that hasn't blami- released yet. It's like saying someone is dead, before you check their pulse. Reviewing a unfinished game will only get bad reviews. Not aimed at you all, to let you know. I just find it unrealistic to judge a game based on it's BETA version. Heck there wasn't even weather effects in the beta. So much they probably didn't show us and are keeping under tight wraps.

  • Because they were reviewing the beta and not the full game. Just because it is in a beta does not mean people cannot find flaws or give feedback to the company, as that is really what the beta is for. They also stated that it is not a complete version of the game and is subject to change within the review, you may be letting your passion get the better of you. Almost everyone on this forum acknowledged that the final game will likely be different, it is actually more like saying that this person is suffering numerous wounds and may die after doing an initial checkup (with Destiny being the person and the Beta being the checkup). Also as I have stated many times the game was only (roughly at the time) two months from launch which is very little time to change the game significantly (as production and distribution still needed to occur), with the beta being a serious enough build of the game to be used for testing. You are right about the weather effects, but did they promise weather effects? we cant hold them to a promise that they didn't make or to a quality that they never demonstrated/stated that they would achieve. They have been very careful and unclear about what they have promised us so they cannot be held to account when they do it (remember the video where your friend dropped out of the sky to join you? where was that in the beta? See my point?). I am not reviewing the entire game but I am reviewing the Beta and so far from what I have seen I am not impressed with what they have accomplished. (With Star Citizen and borderlands being my comparison in terms of budget and quality acheived).

  • True. I am weary, but I have faith in Bungie. Not activision. Activision is bad for rehashing the same game over and over again. Also I don't like EA for releasing games too early, but like the devs (bioware, visceral, and dice). It seems huge parent companies put out worse games than smaller developers.

  • I really don't want to see anther Mass Effect 3 debacle. Publishers can bring out the worst in developers.
