Maybe die from dregs in Devils lair when you have sniping vandals, captains, hive acolytes, wizards and other enemies, yes. Or maybe those level 20 dregs that you can't kill, or maybe those level 9 dregs on the moon. But your typical level 2 dregs out on the cosmodrone. I don't think so... Even the level 4-5 ones aren't too challenging. I think dregs are fine as they are.
