I don't see why this is such an issue. Some people don't get into the whole social aspect of online gaming. End game content should still be available for these people. Obviously if you're worried about getting with a noob party or not being able to communicate with randoms then you can still form your own group manually. I can't see anyway matchmaking could harm the raid experience.

  • It's not just about bad players, it's also about preserving the style and impact of the game. If a Raid is something that people expect to just casually hop into, then it's no longer a big event. And thus all the flavorful impact is gone - meaning that it almost immediately turns into a grind instead of a momentous occasion.

  • Never really thought of it like that. I guess that makes sense. But I can also see how some people want to keep it casual, while still experiencing this content. Although maybe Bungie wants this part of the game to be anything but casual.
