I got to the Alt-tab, PC part and all I could think was "companion app, forums, destiny" done. You literally can leave that open on your phone. Problem solved there. I get your arguement...slightly. I think the biggest issue that Bungie wants people to avoid with these raids is people skipping out and having to leave in the middle of them and randoms jumping in in the middle of the raid and getting loot they DO NOT deserve. I would be pissed off for that to happen. Plus they already said the Raids would be unforgiving without a full team. I'm sure it is still managable with 4-5 people but I doubt it. I'm personally okay with finding 5 more people who I trust and connect with on my friends list, not to mention have mics, than someone who most likely lacks a mic, doesn't communicate effectively if they do, or just feels like trolling for the sake of doing so. I've played my fair share of FFXIV and waiting for God knows how long just for a simple dungeon or Sycrus tower run because people constantly drop out at the last second can get REALLY annoying. Matchmaking isn't perfect and I'm not sure why everyone is making it out to be as such.

  • You make some great points and I have experience all those things you pointed out in various PC MMO's. I also agree that matchmaking isn't perfect and will never be. I guess the heart of my argument is that this I would like the option to get raid team together quick and dirty will all its potential downsides via matchmaking or the option to go to the companion app, forums, reddit, etc... to make a far superior raid team. I just feel that the raid matchmaking system would see better success in the console world than it has in the PC world. Maybe I am just out of mind though.

  • No I completely understand. It would be a good idea to get a rapid team together but that just isn't what Bungie is going for. Bungie wants you to build relationships with people and develop as a team which can be done if people work together well in the open world, strikes and PVP. Plus as you said, a reddit option is still open if you have a laptop or phone close by. I know it would be more convenient to cut out the middle man but I completely understand where the Bungie team is coming from. The issue is gamers don't like change. Sometimes we have to try new things to see the outcome. I mean the game has not even come out yet.
