I don't know man. 75-man clans allow for 67525 different combinations of 3 people for Explore/Story. It allows for over 201 million different 6-man teams. Looks like plenty of choice to me. Why exactly do you -want- more?

  • So when you play with ANY member of the clan they have the same logo under their name as you instead of "Void Alpha" or "Void Bravo". I'd rather we all just be "Void".

  • Oh for sure, I get that. It works for clan recognition and to reduce segmentation. That's not my question. I want to know why you would want Void to be more than 75 people.

  • Bigger tournament brackets, more people online for people to play with... I guess alot of reasons.

    75 people allows, if you're making 6-man teams, for eliminations, quarter finals, semi finals and finals... I can understand if you want more, but it dilutes your teams into A-list (those that are actually competing in the main events) and B-list (the half+ that got eliminated on first turn), which can be easily divided into main clan and alliance. As for more people online, that just requires in-clan coordination. And at 75 people, if you're stuck without anyone online, there's something weird in the way you recruit. I understand that at face value, having a bigger clan sounds like a no-brainer, but the more I think about it, the more I'm thinking 75 is a sweet spot for size. EDIT: Or maybe 100, since 96 is the sweet spot for having 16 teams of 6, which makes for more balanced and fair brackets.

  • I'm not dividing the clan. Having 2 clans being in an alliance is no different than 1 clan if I'm leading them all. Either way Bungie has already said 75 does seem low so I expect 150+ will be the new cap. I don't really care to argue anymore, I'm glad with the outcome.
